I've just noticed that *Cillian Murphy* is going to be filming a third production in *Bradford* the world's first *UNESCO City of Film* later this month. That production will be *28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple* (202?) which will be filmed 1.3 miles South of me. If it's the same cast as *28 Years Later* (2025), then it also stars *Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, Jack O'Connell, Erin Kellyman, Edvin Ryding* and *Ralph Fiennes.* *Ralph Fiennes* was here filming his second *Bradford* filmed production (The Choral & Wuthering Heights), just a few months ago, and now he might be back again. *Cillian Murphy* also filmed *The Way We Live Now* (2001) here (a fact I stumbled across this week while looking for something else), and *Peaky Blinders* (2013-2022) which uses *Bradford* for 17 different locations. *The Way We Live Now* (2001) and *The Choral* (2026), use at least 2 of the 17 *Bradford* locations in *Peaky Blinders,* however *28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple* (202?) is using a *Bradford* location which has only been used once before properly (although it can be seen in the opening titles of *DCI Banks* and in sport documentaries) in *Sky Peals* (2023). *Six Triple Eight* (2024) which finally released its trailer this week, also filmed on practically every street in *Little Germany, Bradford,* which is where Tommy Shelby's series 4 offices are located.

I love the reactions for this every week however noticed that more and more you seem to be picking up on the flaws in a lot of the male characters and not so much in the women, for example Polly has on multiple occasions either put Tommys life at risk,got involved when she shouldn’t have or said too much to certain people and Tommy has always supported her, yet this season she was a complete liability and emotional mess and it has never been noted when she’s being so? Also Linda wanting to control Arthur nearly got him killed multiple times out of her pure need to try and control a powerful man for her own self gratification. She knew and knows what he is and does yet still try’s to belittle him at every opportunity and takes advantage of him. Characters like Michael and Ada’s reactions towards Polly and Linda are supposed to help guide you that they are the unreasonable ones in a lot of the situations.🫡Can’t wait for next week anyways 🤷♀️😂

in season 3 tommy gave the order to set fire to Changretta's restaurant to stop him from coming at the wedding so tommy was already going to end the Italians and john just did gangster stuff because that's what they do and even if hadn't done it tommy would have still cleared the Italians out. If I'd want to blame anyone for john's death it would be Esme.

I feel like they generally like and defend Arthur's wife and all the poor decisions by women in general in this show and do the opposite with the men especially Tommy meanwhile I feel like any sensible dude would divorce her or set her straight instantly after the events of this episode. Women that try to manipulate men in ways that promote or appeal to weakness are no go for anyone with sense and especially gangsters in a situation like this. She's about the worst type of wife you could have in that situation because the 'problem solving' to her is basically 'disregard all logic and strategy and manipulate my husband to do the same and run away together while also treating him like a child when we're in extreme danger and his family needs to stay strong and together' and it's especially bad for someone like Arthur who is easy to manipulate

This isn't really about the ep but I just need to say I really like Linda. I think there's this romanticism with this show where people get mad if you call out the men, who's behaviour is not great, but the women? God forbid they disagree with Tommy Shelby! It's such a weird take and whilst this show was airing it was very prevalent. All the women in this show are very different and have different motivations for being there. None of them blindly go along with everything, and that's a good thing, but people singled out Linda in a weird way - I think because she really isn't afraid of Tommy and she's very intelligent. Like you can dislike whatever character you want, but this show is FULL of problematic characters...
@GeneralToxicus5 ай бұрын
Very true, although for Linda I think a lot of people get the feeling that she doesn't care about the family or Arthur in any sincere kind of way. She sort of just likes manipulation and is very intelligent and good at it and enjoys the feeling of converting a criminal to Christianity. Even that isn't rooted in charity I feel, but rather that she just feels good and powerful from converting a criminal to Christianity. With Polly, Lizzie and Ada who all have different reasons and motivations they on some level feel like they are part of the family and that they have genuine care for the family. It doesn't just feel like they're solely in it for themselves. At least that's how I see Linda as being different from the other female characters. With that said, she's an interesting and well written character, like most of the characters on this show.
@jonttuz63865 ай бұрын

@Jehty_5 ай бұрын
I don't know why other people don't like Linda, but I dislike her because of her Christianity shtick. She married a gangster. She knowingly married a gangster. And then plays the act of the good Christian. Acting holier than thou. By all means, do love your neighbor. But that doesn't mean that you have to sleep with him. And that's unique to Linda. No other women (or men for that matter) acts better than what they are. Everyone accepts who they are and accepts that what they are doing is wrong. Expect Linda. She's the good Christian.
