Here is why Maradona is the best: 1-He didn't have superstar team mates. He carried the whole team on his shoulders. 2- He didn't play for a club, nor in a time where players benefited from having highly qualified/knowledgeable physical trainers and doctors next to them like they have now. 3- He played in a time where football was close to be a sport of savages by the way the hurt each other in the field. 4- He literally built his whole career by him self. Worked hard, started in a small team and little by little moved up. 5- The guy struggled ( and still does apperantly) with addictions. It is well known that in some of the matches he played the night before he was parting late and getting drunk, yet that didn't affect his performance. I'd like to see Messi or Penaldo staying up late the night before a game... I think their contracts does not allowed them to do that. 6- Every team he played for improved. 7- A lot of the greatest players who came after him ( and they are a lot of them) claimed that they were influenced by him. 8- He won a world cup. Yes I know, many of the greatest football players can say the same, but with Diego was different. The Argentinian team was garbage. A couple of months before the world cup in Mexico started, they were considered , by the very same Argentinians, one of the worst teams they ever saw. Even the Argentinian press said things such a as " I don't know why in the hell we are going to this World Cup, it's going to be humiliating" Yet Diego lead them to eternal glory. 9- Passion and love for the game. Maradona went through very rough times in his life, but through the guy a ball and he smiled. 10- Every one is biased, and have their opinions ( like I do) but the experts, and the very same players who played in his time , or saw him playing are the same people who see and analyze the players today. And they can tell you that, no one like Maradona. Feel free to add more.

Il 3-0 finale rende la trasferta a Budapest una semplice formalità. Il Napoli vincerà 2-0 grazie alle reti di Incocciati e Alemão.Nel turno successivo il Napoli incontra lo Spartak Mosca, all'andata finì 0-0 ma al ritorno Maradona non viene schierato per dei problemi disciplinari con la squadra, quindi finisce di nuovo 0-0, Maradona entra negli ultimi minuti ma la partita va ai rigori che il Napoli perde... Insomma Maradona ha fatto vincere scudetti, Coppa Uefa, ha vinto i Mondiali con una squadra mediocre, accusarlo di non aver fatto niente in Europa è pura idiozia, in primis perchè non è vero visto che ha vinto l'unico trofeo europeo della storia del Napoli, due perchè di certo non poteva fare di più di quello che ha fatto... I saw Diego in '82 and adored him in '86, cried with him in '90 and felt for him in '94. However, I do not think i apprecaited just how good he was until he passed recently. People that say he cheated by taking drugs, that's BS. He took recreational drugs not performance enhancing ones. Those drugs in all probability make you play worse than you are.
