Really gotta give the director credit for his new look. Apparently he photoshopped the dorsal spines from the 1954 Godzilla and added it to the 2014 one, because he wanted it to feel more like the Toho Godzilla. And I’m really glad he added new toes as well. Nice review as always Diego! 👍

I love this figure, bro. I only wished they upscale him to be slightly bigger than the Shin Godzilla figure to illustrate that he is a bigger Godzilla. I feel they kept him pretty much the same size to keep him in scale with the upcoming King Ghidorah. Great video as always. Take care.

Yes absolutely. While I did really like 2014 Godzilla’s overall design and the sharper dorsal plates did give the G-man a more realistic feel. But now that I have seen KOTM, 2019 Godzilla is really beginning to grow on me. I love that they brought back the classic Godzilla dorsal plates, feet and and tail tip. To me 2019 Godzilla is now the definitive American Godzilla that we G-fans have always wanted from the start.

Great review! I've been waiting on this one because I thought I saw a Fire Godzilla version, but with Rodan and Mothra coming as a 2-pack, and already ordering Ghidorah, it will be very odd not to have him in the collection. That's a shame with the teeth, there's definitely shades of Gamera 3 with that quick slop of paint. The sculpt of the dorsal fins looks excellent though and I love how far they run down the tail.

The range of motion can also be decorated in a wide and stable posture. I feel that the quality was also high and it was a good purchase. Hi Diego it's good to see you back in action I forgot to look at picture I personally have the exact same opinion about this one he was made too short. 2014 Godzilla figure should have been bigger than the 90s Godzilla and this one should have been bigger than that. I have heard of the 2019 Godzilla is over 395 ft tall while the 2014 Godzilla was of a 356 ft tall. the figures like they're about average height for a Godzilla what type of person I feel is disappointing but I still would like to get these guys

This review was amazing and when I bought this figure it was straight fire it looked like it was just finished making it was straight the paint on my figure straight. eye paint straight everything on my figure was straight

I was lucky enough to find one of these sitting on a shelf at Barnes & Noble at retail price. It was the only one they had. So I was able to snatch it when I had the chance. When I toke it out of the box, I was astonished by the amount of detail in the sculpt and paint applications of the figure as I had been wanting one of these for years, but never could afford one. Overall, I'd rate it a 4/5. Why only a 4? Well, there's a bit of a catch. One major problem that's guaranteed to RUIN the entire figure. The tail never stays in place. On just the slightest alteration if position, it will detach itself from the ball joint. After some pondering, I was able to figure out the reason why. If anyone who owns this figure is reading this, then take out one of its feet and look at the ball joint there. Notice how the joint itself is facing straight down on a perfect 90° angle. That way, the foot will always stay in place no matter how you articulate it unless you forced it out. The ball joint on the tail, on the other hand, is placed at a slanted, downward facing angle. This makes it a lot easier for the tail to fall off the body. I'm sorry, but that's a serious flaw and if you're not careful, it could result in you damaging the figure itself! Take me for example. I thought superglueing it in place would make it better, but that doesn't work and now, there's paint scabs around that area, which means I can't return it to the store. Fortunately, I was able to get the figure on a $15 discount from its original price, but if you're going to spend $70 or higher on a supposed high quality collector's item, then you'd expect there to be no obvious design flaws. I'm not sure if this only happened with just my figure or if others notice this too, but if this is persistent among other figures, then that definitely sucks. It pisses me off because Bandai and Tamashii Nations have been heading the S.H.Monsterarts line for almost ten years now, and they are in NO position to allow such flaws to exist this late in the game along with constant complaints from customers about sloppy sculpting and paint applications on other models.
