S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla 1962 (ゴジラ) Review
As a whole Godzilla turned out to be absolutely fantastic. The sculpt is great, the paint apps are well done, we have a good accessory and Godzilla is very poseable.
The sculpt seems to be a little stylize, but it’s still fantastic. The only complaint I have about this figure, it would have been nice if Godzilla came with a more fitting effect parts. In the end I’m more than happy to have this figure and I absolutely recommend picking Godzilla 1962 up!

This was the first image of Godzilla ever to enter my brain. The stega-rexness of it is what attached me to Godzilla in the first place. Then when he breathed his atomic blast, I was hooked.

I'm glad you give normal unbiased reviews. I just seen a different review and the guy was complaining about what he seen in pictures of other people (talking about the eyes...)and nothing was wrong with his own personal figure. He also complained about the effect and he's the same person who gets mad when figures come with nothing.

Very nice work on this particular review. However, my only concern is his range of motion. I'll have to get my hands on the figure before making any other assumptions. His eyes look very nice, along with the really detailed sculpt. I like it more than the X-Plus.

Diego you got a better figure than Steven's Toy Reviews. Still I can't help but feel that this particular figure should have been priced $20 lower. That $99 price point is hard to reconcile without the nostalgia attachment (Disclosure: I hated this film even as a kid in the 80's). Maybe it'll sell poorly enough to go on sale someplace?

Great review, Diego! Although my only paint issues is with the finger nails, toe nails and the scales. I remember the scales being greener the last time I saw KingGoji. His toe and finger nails are far too dark and I feel that he should have a whitish bone paint but it's still a great figure. I hope that they make the other showa versions of Godzilla, mainly the 1974 and early 70s ones.

It's been a while since I've had time to watch one of your reviews. Anyway, he looks cool, but not $100 cool. I'm going to just go with NECA's as I don't really see that much of a difference between the two outside of articulation and the bendy wire tail. The packaging on NECA's is even better. Let's hope they do King Kong to go with this version.

I know this is a few years old. But has there been a reissue of 62' as of Jan 2022? I missed out on this guy and really dont want to spend $250 on the aftermarket. I know Bandi reissues almost all their Godzillas at some point.
