Him and Jacques Burger are two of the best technical tacklers I’ve ever seen. Pablo Matera and Kieran Read were both adjusting to catch the ball but Du Toit was on the charge and he got hammered in the tackle, you just see his head ping pong on impact. It’s never a macho chest/shoulder high tackle with him either it’s always on the waist or below. I think had the first tackle in this clip on Mackenzie been against a lot of other tacklers then Mackenzie dipping would have resulted in the tackle contacting the head and getting sent off.
