Here is the thing, I’m English and I remember being 23 yrs old and watching my boys lift the trophy. Wilkinson was our man, you just had that feeling he could do it. Ireland have it with Sexton. But there is a part of me that wants the French to win. Home soil. The sheer love and passion for the game. And with DuPont, they have a talisman, there will never be a better opportunity. French supporter here. I don't know if France will win the WC. I hope they will, of course, but there will be such a huge opposition from everywhere. For instance there is no doubt in my mind that England will have recovered in the meantime. They always do. In any case you are right when pointing out the'sheer love and passion for the game' we feel on this side of the Channel, especially in the Sud ouest. And I take this opportunity, as anyone should do, to express extreme gratitude to the British for having invented such a wonderful sport.

Not only the best player of this sport since 3 years, but above all, a good lad with a perfect mentality. Without his work ethic, he wouldnt have make this comeback. His talent would be nothing without a solid character. I think his injury helped him to redefine himself. He became more complete and intelligent in his runs, defence and attack.

His Injury back in 2018 was a rupture of the cruciate ligament, he had an operation 4 days later. He was then out for 6 months. Sa blessure contre l'Irlande s'est avérée être une rupture du ligament croisé, il s'est fait opérer 4 jours plus tard. Il a été écarté des terrains pendant 6 mois.

I do wonder if a minimum level of ppe should be at least optional in rugby like soft helmets, chest and shoulder padding and knee straps or something. Don’t know what the evidence is in support of them but anything that reduces the risk of injury without endangering other players (eg a hard helmet) seems like decency really. At least until rugby players are paid like footballers
