DIEP FLAP | 3 YEAR UPDATE

It has been 2 years since my DIEP flap procedure. Here is an update to how I feel and a snippet of what the incision site on the belly looks like now. I hope this helps.

Thank you for doing this video. Congrats on a successful surgery. Question I have is are you having any numbness or any other symptoms in your breast area?

Yes numbness in both breast I was told that I had scar tissue built up in my left breast post radiation. I had another biopsy to confirm it was only scar tissue.

@@spirituallyuploading2797 Thank you for your reply. My skin where my incision is (under my breasts ) is tight . I’m about 3 weeks from my double mastectomy . Do you currently have this feeling still?

@@wendyc.6084 I believe I complained about tightness in a lot of my videos after surgery. I do still have some but it is not as bad as it was right after surgery. As time went on it did get somewhat better.

If this is TMI you can ignore ❤️ did you still have nipples? Mine were removed, so im wondering if ill be as satisfied. Im planning to get the tattoos. My diep flap is in August. Thanks so much for sharing!

No they’ve been gone since the mastectomy. I was looking into 3D tattooing too.
