When you grow up in a country where your told 'your national team is alright but sucks at penalties and you won't win anything' it's really hard to be optimistic. Anyway, all the best for the Euro's, I know you've lost a few good players but you can never rule out the German's and I usually support you lot in the tournaments (Shhh I said nothing, we're 'Rivals' Remember :P) after all our nations aren't so far apart, the Germanic people helped create our country and in return we gave you football lol. Our countries are cut from the same cloth so without being one of these people who jump on every bandwagon going, I do really wish you well. All the best from your typical England fan :P.

The England team is I think in the best position it has been since the late 90s we have amazing young talent in Kane, Ali and Barkley and the older players such as hart, Baines and Cahill are still really good I'm not saying we are going to win the euros but with patience we will see England do well in an international tournament. As a german we watched the game and werent even dissapointed, we played great and we even cheered for vardy when he made his first int. goal, its a story that everyone wants truely. But im amazed at how serious england is taking this. Germany is even making fun of their own team afterall khedira knows alot about loosing after a 2 goal lead 😂😂

Tommyfungun haha they werent totally outclassed, they played alright but lately they havent been good, they also lost against poland in a friendly while back. The england side had alot of new talent and they took their chance to shine and they deserved the win, and like said we were even happy for vardy. I understand you as a dutch would also make this a huge deal since we are rivals. And i mean berlin is not the best stadium since no player is even from berlin at this moment. Caps lso dont express much when you consider that england usually wants expirience players but they never got far with them, now that the younger generation comes through they show more hunger for wins and dare alot more then relying on experience.

isucch I can't talk bad against the experienced Rooney, he is Englands top scorer of all time and captain, but he needs to sit on the bench and let Vardy and Kane play! Currently the two top scorers in the Premier League

Frank Watson Oh no im not saying anything against experienced players at all, rooney is a legend afterall. But currently he would be an exellent supersub for the english team, vardys pace and kanes power is unbelivable, and like you said they are on fire in the BPL. im certain that england will make it far in the euros if they give them more playtime!

I said to my dad that the idea of playing bigger teams in friendly leading up to the euros is a brilliant idea ive said it for years instead of minnows for a quick win play the heavyweights. Yeah it may only be a friendly but the players involved will most likely be at the tournament. For the first times in god knows how long we actually have a very gifted squad look at how some of them have progressed especially vardy and kane this season topping the goal scoring charts. with some luck on our side if it comes to it I do believe England will reach the semis at least this time. All I'd like to see is a ban on players interacting with the press or reading shit which puts even more pressure on them because last time we banned the press, we nearly got to the final in Italia 90. I agree in a sense with Alan shearer use this tournament like germany did 6 years ago to gain the youngsters some experience at big tournaments and hopefully but 2018 or 2020 we have a squad capable of winning it. Its our biggest chance not to fuck up this current crop since 2001. As an englishman I want to see it happen. bring back the home nations aswell.
