A couple of things for future reference 1. take it out of snow mode snow mode cuts power when it detects wheel slip, 2. get some better tires those are more for slick streets then deep sow. 3. get a kenotic rope like a Yankum rope, you can use some force to pull a vehicle out of a situation pull and the rope stretches then releases it's energy and will usually pop someone right out of those ruts. The most important thing you can get for your Cherokee is good tires. These suggestions are not complaints but suggestions to help you for the next time.

I've high-centered every Jeep I've ever owned in snow. Raised, locked, etc. You can get ANYTHING stuck. Only thing I never got stuck was my H2, which just weight so much that it plowed through anything with that locker engaged. In defense of the Cherokee, there isn't a single crossover that would have made it nearly that far. And mo matter what you drive - bring a shovel.

I’ve had my 2021 Cherokee trailhawk through 2 Canadian winters now where I regularly drive through wet snow and icy conditions. I’ve never once gotten stuck even when I plow through snow banks. Best thing you can do is switch the tires - the Firestones are great for spring/summer/fall adventures but once the snow hits they’re just mid at best. I’d like to see you guys try again this winter with different tires.

2020 TH here. Airing down the tires to 10 psi makes a hugh difference. At 10 psi the Cherokee will float on top and snow depth will hardly matter. There is always a soft spot out there, so recovery gear is a must have! I have tons of snow videos of our Cherokee in the deep snow.

Mud terrain?
@bsenka2 жыл бұрын
@@dieseJL The BFG KO2s are all weather -- all terrain, complete with snowflake winter tire designation for places that require snow tires in the winter. They are very good on ice and snow, perfectly capable on dry pavement, but just OK in mud. I have an extra set of MTs waiting to be used, but I have to do some cutting in the wheelwells to make them fit, and I'm reluctant to do that on a car that I'm still paying for and is still on warranty.

3rd winter with my '19 Trailhawk. This winter had to have my first bump with a rope, same situation. Went to turn around in the edge of a field and a snow drift slowed me enough I couldn't make the full turn around. Luckily a buddy was a mile off with a truck, and I carry a big strap. Damned belly covers I think are responsible....... sorta ride up on that stuff and wheels don't have much purchase. In powder, I've had it pushing snow clear up over the top of it, but once it's got some heft to it, a foot is about the limit. My snow drift was more like 20 inches where I lodged! Air down the tires that is all you need to do. I would have put them down to 20 psi and if that didnt work I would have gone down to 15 then 10 if needed. Your tire pressure monitoring system will not be an issue, it will notify you when the tire pressure drops but thats it. Just dont go too fast and remember to air your tires back up when you get back on paved roads.
