Diesel 10 Fiery Flynn Brave Belle Trackmaster Blaster

Diesel 10 RULES and causes HAVOC, but please bring back the classic villain face, the CGI one is lame.
The Thomas & Friends Trackmaster sets I cover are Diesel 10 Takes Charge, Brave Belle and Fiery Flynn. All are associated with the DVD 'Day Of The Diesels'.
There is also a curious look at two 2010 Diesel 10's versus a 2011 Diesel 10. Also a goof reel!

Diesel 10’s Old Face is from the Tomy Version

@leokimvideo The flatbed that comes with Flynn is the same model as the green one used in the japanese Thomas Freight Set. I have some of these flatbeds and you can put on them the tiny characters of Trevor, Terence and Caroline plus a coil of wire from a trucks and track pack, but not much else.

@Designandrew not sure if you know but my jet engine friend passed away and it was something I did when I was 20 something, now I am 40 something the days of starting up jet engines in the backyard in suburban Sydney are over, these days neighbors are far more aggressive and tend to see it all as something the police need to deal with, basically it's not 1980, 1990 any more, i feel people today are very different compared to 20 years ago.

The old face on Diesel 10 is a must! I think the producers think he looks too 'scary' with his old face. The smudges on him add detail, which is lacking in his older versions.

I have a complete explanation of why they gave Deisel 10 a new face. You always have to remember this is a little children's toy and it might scare some younger kids. Although I do prefer the old face but hey at least you still have one.

In my words, I like the new face better. Don't get me wrong, the older face is nice, but to me the new one seems a bit more devious and sinister. I never collect Trackmaster, but I like the more detail on Flynn's water tank truck then his other counterparts. And I really like the Take-N-Play versions of Belle and Flynn, very detailed.

I think it might've been mentioned elsewhere, but for me, the new Trackmaster face is supposed to be the CGI "menacing look" as seen on the box art. D10 does get some pretty good expressions in DotD when he gets either cross or is scheming. Good review and I loved the destruction-filled intro!

I agree: I MUCH prefer D10's old face, as well as the pre-CGI faces as a whole. Regarding the faceless truck though, there were plenty of faceless trucks in the original TV episodes, so I don't see that as much of a problem.

Diesel 10's old face gives me the creeps. Mind, I think it's supposed to do that, but the pupils are too big on the old one, and the smile just makes the guy look a little goofy to me. The new one is the one I'd go for; he's got enough of the old villain face to satisfy me, and at least it isn't the goofy smiling Diesel 10 from Calling All Engines, right? Done a great review video and great advice, once again. :)
