My 5 years old Kia HTK Diesel car gives 26km /Ltr in highways if maintain 90kmph. Torque/pickup is absolutely brilliant. In high speeds about 130kmph I can overtake easily by pressing the accelerator little more. It delivers even more torque from 130 to 140/150kmph within few seconds. In 5 years / 80k km usage performance comfort mileage remains same. Engine noise increased a bit. But definitely lower than other brand diesel cars. To simply say, I can save more than 50% fuel cost compared to my previous Swift petrol car (8kmpl in city & 11kmpl in highways)

Diesel engines, you were right, When it comes to refinement, that 1.5CRDI is the best. I absolutely love this engine Next was Ford's 1.5TDCI(which they were able to migrate to bs6 as well). I really hope they atleast outsource the engines if not the cars Next is Mahindra's then Tata, then Maruti's Fiat engines And then the VW TDI And the finally the duster diesel engine

Diesel is useless. I suffered from DPF issue multiple times within a short period and waited for the DPF component for more than a month and I was told not to drive the Vehicle for a long distance travel till the component is replaced. This has happened to my 6 months old New Vehicle. And I sold the Kia Seltos immediately. Now I am going to buy only the Petrol Cars

@kumarr5764 DPF issue in diesel cars is more of a maintenance issue. If you go for a quick run in diesel once a week the DPF will heat up properly and burn all the residues. You will not have DPF issues anymore. The benefits of diesel engines overshadows the limitations of DPF. But Petrol cars are a scam from now on with the introduction of E20 fuel in the long run. With government selling E20 fuel with 20% ethanol being mixed with petrol. Mileage will drop with ethanol mixing drastically. Also engine will have rust issues quickly with ethanol mixing and become unreliable soon. Good luck with your experience with petrol cars. Diesel cars are still the best for all practical reasons

In 1 barrel of crude oil 45% petrol and 29% diesel is getting extracted. As Mr. Velusamy said in one interview, diesel fuel ban is impossible till we purchase crude oil. But as said in this video diesel car sales might be restricted in few years 😢😮 and diesel may be available in fuel pumps till most people migrate to EV. One thing, except russia and middle east all other countries speaking about vehicle pollution and promoting EV is only because to reduce the trade deficit and not for global warming 😞

@@crgopinathr Diesel is the best, both for performance and mileage. Also with BS6 pollution is controlled in diesel engines too equal to petrol. Petrol is not good in the long run with government selling E20 fuel with 20% ethanol being mixed with petrol. Mileage will drop with ethanol mixing. Also engine will have rust issues quickly with ethanol mixing. So engines will not have long life with petrol cars from now on and mileage will be terrible. Close your eyes and go for diesel

You are right in one angle. The number of rich and diesel cars in our country was very low in those days, so no one thought of banning diesel cars. However, when middle income people started buying diesel vehicles, the air pollution rate has gone very high because of this large number. It is important to take this into account from the government's perspective as well.
