Wonderful explanation. In my Seltos Manual Diesel, first DPF issue occurred at 45k kms and 2nd one in 53K and third one at 58K.. The first 2 times , Self( Forced) regeneration given and solved. the third time, still DPF warning light glows even after Self( Forced) regeneration. All happened during long drives only.. In this condition, i no longer recommend Diesel Cars for new car buying friends..

Then there's some issue bro.. Get it checked with ASS. It should not occur in Highway driving. Also yours being MT I'm surprised. Many AT's only complain DPF even in highway..

@@richardjoseph10 Got it checked and no soot deposited and only battery malfunction error shown and now i changed my driving style little bit. Giving more allowance while gear shifting and not using top gear within city raids.

Nice explanation sir . FRANKLY telling it's very hard to maintain BS 6.2 CARS sir One side ADBLUE issue and another side dpf issue . All can't drive regularly on highways as everyone is engaged with daily jobs. So bs 6.2 diesel cars is a headache to be Frank . On the other hand , In the future surely a diesel ban going to happen at least for bs4 diesel cars . So resale markets of Diesel is going to see a downward phase . As we all know future is Ev / hybrid / CNGs / petrol . Toyota will soon stop crysta diesel and shifting towards Hybrid and hyundai / Suzuki have stopped diesel engines. So beyond bs6.2 diesel won't survive . So my opinion for those who are planning to buy a car now and keep it for 10-15 years means please try avoiding Diesel !! Thank you

The regeneration issue can also happens due to ecm malfunction.the dpf filter can also have an option of cleaning using dpf cleaning machine.the protocol for every OE service centres is to install dpf cleaning machine or dpf cleaning vendor a dpf clenaing machine cost almost 30 lakhs instead of that they are blaming every consumers that this happens because of not purchasing adblue from them and charge for the cleaning or replacement.and they also connect this with engine warranty.

Good explanation. May be in future company may recommend to change dpf too along with air filter,oil filter for every 10k km. They will re-design removable dpf in future cars. I'm using old ford 2012 diesel engine never faced any issues till now.

1st, Don't run your vehicle with AC in idle for prolonged time. Like sleep overnight. This is the major reason DPF issues comes. 2nd, If you see the dpf issue frequently take the car for long drive in 80kmph constant speed. Like 1200kms trip. Once you got DPF issue. Plan for q long drive it'll suppress the issue for long period.

Very important piece of information you gave as usual birla sir. From this video one thing is clear people who use diesel vehicles have to keep using it regularly and need to take a long drive frequently and engine oil should be changed on time and service on time. By doing this itself we can save our engine from DPF problem.

DPF happens for 2 reasons. Driving in cold weather. 2nd is when vehicle is driven short distance locally only, which then triggers DPF issue.

Two days back started my car( bs6 New disel xuv300 amt) after a two weeks, within 5 mins of starting it high pressure loaded in engine & while shifting gears kind of burnt smell high white smoke came from front bannete ...now due to dpf/regen issue malfunction in amt caused burn of clutches inside so that it happened said by service person from showroom.... Pov: 1. Clutches were not in warranty 2. City speed limit 40 3. There is no one can't ensure about park regeneration ( forced) won't damage/detects vehicle in any conditions Moreover no sales person will explain this before you buy car😅😅😅

bought a 3x0 diesel manual in may'24, so far driven 3500kms, but daily usage is 10kms or less . had to do park regen 5 times since purchase, last 2 times had to do regen with in a span of 3 days. raised at complaint now the car is at the service center.

Forced regenation is only possible if it's shows in cluster. Kia carens shows this error very often and I force regenerate like the guidance.. it's top end

My friend got Tata Nexon Diesel bs6 4 cylinder Has not faced dpf issues I don't think this happens in all situations He needs to take it to office 25km from home and he would have lost a lot of money and driving pleasure with torque if he got 3 cylinder Petrol

During regeneration process, the soot particles burn or oxidize, it is still going to pollute air but definitely very less compared to letting unfiltered exhaust in to air. Also the frequency of this regeneration process must be taken into account for emissions certification. So the expected pollution is already part of it and emissions requirement need to be met along with it

Just keep regularly using, take long drive frequently and do periodic service on time and change engine oil on time. No complex configuration or console at all. Heard that goverment going to ban diesel engine after 10 years like Delhi, so If I purchase new car then I have to pay road tax for 15 years but I can't use after 10 as per the gov policy also can't resale as well .. will this scenario happen?
