Much easier way, is to put the fuel tube through the drilled hole from outside, keep pushing through until can pick it out of fuel cap hole, with fingers. Then attach the metal thing ( just trim it and poke in) then pull the fuel tube, back out of the bottom. Then screw in.

Hey, good tip, been wondering how to do this. Question though, mine came with (unsure if they all do) a metal filler pipe with a seal connector on the top, so it can pick up the fuel from the top of the can rather than the bottom. If I read the Chinese instructions correctly, this is only for use in a metal fuel can. I'm wondering why, is it because it might wear a hole in the tank or impossible to fit? Thanks!

You can use it in the plastic tank the problem is where you drill the hole it goes through the vent which is needed to stop the tank collapsing.

Only took me like a minute, drill your hole size like 1 thousandths smaller then the petcock. And I used fishing line to pull it through the hole reversed. Looks harder then its seems.
