Rebuilding some of these style gearboxes has been a huge pain. We have tons to do and there are several different variants of the same box and not all parts available for certain ones.

I put a RED HEAD steering box on my 95 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 5.2 V8 with over 332000 miles steering now feels brand new.

I got one for my 7.3 excursion. Unfortunately, it has made zero difference.

Same, my box ended up being bad but if your still looking check the drag link and cast, camber of the tires.

i have. a jeep TJ 2001 i order one 4years. ago no hydro but. i saw. the changes and. driving a game. changer day night , i. recently change my heavy duty FUSION NEW axels front back 513 gears 38s tires , and to be honest it handles. great is my daily drive car and great in highway handles great. no. needs to change. for me so far no complains i recomendit. did. great on my build

I have a 2017 dodge ram 4500 , steering feels notch when holding at slight turns , is this an issue with the steering box ? I’m thinking of upgrading to redhead .

Too many problems with them these days. NAPA makes a good box with a better warranty.

I have the opposite problem maybe you could help I bought a brand new Ford F350 single rear wheel, 7.3 gas and the steering is very heavy to turn around in parking lots and driveways. A lot of effort OK on the highway but I do snow plowing, so I need to be able to turn around quickly Ford had no answer anyone have any ideas?

This is a power steering issue. Failing pump. No fluid or sumthn binding

Bad pump or bad lines, or bad fluid. Maybe air in the system? Still sounds like a constriction. Pump or lines is the most likely. Do you leak any fluid? Maybe a loose fitting? On a new system you really shouldn't have these issues... Are you idling too low or have other power issues in the engine? any belt squeal?
