Wow these are nice elevators!! I’ve never seen a Schindler 5500 talk in the US on the few I’ve been on and there’s also different fixtures here too. I love how the floor number is on the button that’s very nice. I’m kind of surprised these aren’t destination dispatch with how many elevators there were. No seat in these elevators like there is in a lot of elevators in Europe.

I always thought Black floor indicators on 5500 are rare in Stockholm, but they seems pretty common after all.

Nice! I actually stayed in that hotel about a week ago. These 5500s are really posh and quite well designed for this place. Plus 5 of these ensure you never got to wait for too long.

Is it a European thing for a double chime in the up direction and a single chime for the down direction? I noticed that with a lot of European elevators.

I never saw this kind of Schindler before. Very different on how elevator companies make there ones in different countries. This one is fast too.

Schindler 5500 sometimes never disappoints. Now Schindler no longer makes 5500 and they have replaced it with their brand new Schindler 5000 since 2020, which isn't much different according to my local Schindler office. However, 5500 is still available in selected countries like the U.S., South Korea, etc.
