A talkative Southeastern/Dover elevator at the Emory Parking Deck Atlanta GA

(2-17-2018) for those long time viewers that watched musicfreakcc you will remember this one. This was his "death trap" elevator. Look what has happened to it as well as the impulse across the way. Let's just say it is VERY vocal! Here is the original video.

The major hospital near me opened in 1986 and had talking elevators all the way back then! The voice was that same primitive one Stephen Hawking used and it would say things like "Third Floor, Going Up". As a young kid then, it fascinated me. That whole building did, it was built in that mid-80s futuristic style. Subsequent renovations have ruined it. The elevators still talk but they were replaced with a modern voice and controls about 15 years ago.

I really need this elevator for the green hill / emerald hill community college career center services building too but remember when alarms or fire safety procedures occurred do not use elevators. But there is an accessories to evacuate too but use the staircase or emergency staircases

I think there are 2 other elevators in this garage (2 Dover traction elevators, 1 with Classic, 1 with Impulse). Are those modded too? The traction elevators in this garage used to have motor generators.

I would guess that each passing floor is announced to accommodate the visually impaired. Although it’s odd that the other elevator only does it when you’re on a floor. It would’ve made more sense to have both elevators do the same thing, but both are equally as accommodating when it comes to announcements.

The beep is an Otis beep I think. If it was TK they would have used the same buttons as Elmwood and Church Avenue and the beep would be a grocery store beep

I doubt that. As far as I'm aware the only bottom-drive traction elevator that is MRL is the KONE NanoSpace, and that's modern. I'm quite sure that it has a motor room

I will do some guessing here, but there is one local company (Premier Elevator) who has (from my observations) recieved a lot of maintenance/modernization jobs on Georgia Tech's campus among other sites in Atlanta, and has used fixtures similar to these (Innovation Bruiser?) in nearly every mod I have seen them working on. It wouldn't surprise me if they were the ones who handled the mod project on this parking garage's elevators.
