This is a engine from a 312d Sprinter, 5 cyl DI EDC system BUT we have made it 100% mechanical. Here we show the complete procedure regarding timing a VP37 / VE pump on these engine, you can also use this movie when swapping pumps on E290 Turbodiesel

Hi Dieselmeken, nice video as always! I got a 602.982 that needs more *uuhmpfff* I don't think I want to mess around with an Iveco pump conversion. (I somehow need to get this through German TÜV -.-) Can you do something to the original pump for more power? Or is the original pump junk? I also have a 605 head and pump here that I could throw on and get power that way... any ideas? cheers

I have a w210 with the engine 290td and pump injection leaking at the distributor head and the actuator .... do you think I can change the seals with the pump in place on the engine, how to take the markers for the position of the actuator .... for that of the dispensing head I will not remove it, but just unscrew to reveal the seal .... thank you very much

Hi I do not recommend that operation in the engine. Usually the front seal on the driveshaft needs to be replaced

But i would like to ask a question , i have the same engine from sprinter 312d 2.9td , and we did the same like you showed in the vídeo .We made the engine completey mechanic and we took out Egr valve,we don't use any sensors but we still using the turbo.But When we run the vehicle, we can't reach more than 100km/h..Do you think that is because we took out the Egr valve? When run good, the boost about 1bar but after a few km the boost is cut off and the max rpm is 3k. Any idea for the problem? I has air bubble after the fuel filter, is problem or not?

Bendegúz Tánczos Common fault is that the pump house is worn out so the rollers inside is stuck in the house when the pump shall advance the timing by the valve.

No, that won't work, there is no place to mount the governor on the electronic VE. You need a mechanical VE housing, and use the om602 camplate, roller holder and hydraulic head. The roller holder needs to be modified, one roller removed to clear the governor

The 605 IDI have to long injection time compared to the VE for DI engine, thats why. Also the high pressure pipes dont fit, these are M12-M14 IDI are M12-M12

In this engine yes, stock injectors are OK to 170-180 hp after that you need bigger nozzles. Yes we have bigger nozzles

I dont't know the best one. My experience with bosch inline pump from om601 2.3l (108d) is really good. Beter performance than before, more power, less consumption. Only problem is bonanza effect beetween 1500rpm and 2000 rpm

Could someone please tell what's causing some harsh vibrations on an OM 605.960 ERE when it gets to nominal working temperature (80C-90C), as soon as I turn the AC on the vibrations stops or become unnoticeable. Noticed that the more electricity I draw from the engine the less vibrations I get, I mean even turning the lights on reduces the vibrations proportionally.

We only use the mechanical housing from Iveco, the rest is VP37 from OM602.982 + alot of magic.
