Spectacular location for railfaning. I was last here in 1985 on a summer vacation with my family. I was 12 ,and I remember SD40-2 and GP9S working through Jasper.

The view at 7.23 highlights the tilted mountains caused by the Pacific and North American tectonic plates colliding. The geometry of the tracks at 7.37 is so clean and graceful, almost like a wave would make in water. @ 10.23 as the "toy train" chugs around the bend, the snow on the mountain above helps the eye define the cirque caused by glacial erosion of the mountain.

3-5km east of Jasper, location is called “English” on the CN Edson Subdivision.
