I ordered and tried AG 1 for the gut health part due to problems with constipation and I used it for two months. It did not help with constipation at all and I really didn't notice any other benefit from it.

What the heck, did she not look at the back of the bag?? All the ingredients are on it. Funny how you talk about the "claims" but not the actual ingredients. You have never got all the vitamins and minerals from eating in 1 day. Most people don't eat enough greens a day period. It's a hack and it helps.

Have you tested out the product? I would love to know if you have tried it out. I am totally on board with the notion that food is always the better option than supplements, but many people don't like to cook (takes a lot of time, effort, preparation, etc.) and as a result people often do not get sufficient servings of fruits and veggies. By no means am I advocating this as a replacement, but I think I would be remiss not too mention how many people who are unsponsored individuals have raved about the benefits of the product while including it in their diets.

Yes, I agree a lot with your comment. So many people are not able to eat like this person suggested. There are many with deficiencies in their diet and of course a diet solution is ideal, but often hard to achieve.

Thank you! I feel like I’m going mad or something. With every review of AG1 being positive and every comment about it is something like “I’ve tried it for six months and first I was sceptical but now I feel so much better blabla”. Is every review just sponsored or is this Herbalife all over again?😢

No, I’m a real person and I’ve been supplementing and bodybuilding for 25 years and I believe that everyone should be supplementing, but I buy very few supplements only the stuff that works and I’ll tell you what this stuff works. I feel great and I think you could probably replicate the drink with about $60 worth of pills or so but I think the sourcing and delivery of these nutrients is worth a little bit of a premium and so I recommend having a greens complex like this with all of the different probiotics, etc. included. I would suspect that really anyone of these companies would be sufficient.

I think you are correct. But there is a fundamental miss here. People know they need to go to the gym and don’t do it. Same way people know they have to eat better (aka get their nutrients from the food directly but don’t do it). If what AG1 claims is true, and the ingredients are high quality, then I think you are paying for the convenience, even though is probably overpriced.
@Randomlycreatedbyme
@Randomlycreatedbyme 11 ай бұрын
Just take a multivitamin for 20$ a month then. The problem is not the overpriced supplement, the problem is the advertisement behind it. Podcasts like Huberman promote it and leverage their credentials to make people think this is the most advanced, scientifically backed, line of supplements out there when in reality they don’t even give you the amount of ingredients you are getting.

That's great your a dietitian and all but have you even tried it? Hard to take your advice on a "review" that's just hear say. I actually use it and I can say its made a HUGE difference. Seems more like the price is an issue to you and if you cant afford it just say so. Keeping fresh fruits and veggies 24/7 is a pain, that's what your paying for. Ill base my review on how I feel after I drink it. AMAZING

I will say this. I was very skeptical of trying AG1. I absolutely hate spending money on these things and never get into the current fad! But I decided to try them because going through premenopause had me feeling so terrible all the time!! I would eat clean and take vitamins, but I still felt terrible. So I thought I'd give it a shot. The first week, I thought, nah, it's just my mind telling me I feel better because I wanted to feel better. By the second month, my daughter came to me and said, "Wow, I can totally tell the AG1 is working!! She noticed changes in my energy, esp my moods. No hot flashes, and I sleep better. My cycles are better, plus I'm not bloated. Things regulated out (if you know what I mean) I never wanted to say anything about how much better I felt because I wanted those close to me to see it , if they seen it without me even trying to show them then I knew it wasn't just me thinking it. Now the money..... I absolutely still hate to pay for it!!! It is definitely a sacrifice!! So I didn't take it for a good week. NEVER AGAIN, as long as I can afford it, will I do that again. Feeling better is worth the money!! In my honest opinion. We spend money on other things that we love to do. I choose to spend money on something that makes me feel better so I can do those things I love to do. This is just my honest review and funny how I hadn't even put a review on their website 🤷‍♀️ guess I should. I'm just not one to even comment on things like this usually.

So, what's the going price for feeling good these days? If it works for YOU, then it's fact. This nutritionist is giving us the 3rd person science based view, not personal experience. I say, personal experience trumps science based studies every time. One person's anecdotal experience, is another person's personal scientific victory. I've been doing AG1 for a month now, and there's clearly a difference. Like my daughter says, _it's part of the food bill now_

I wouldn't say this is a true review, since you didn't actually try it. I think you present valid points for people that aren't already aware, but at the same time, you're ignoring a major consideration here. For people who aren't getting a well-balanced diet, or have time to cook and integrate fresh foods into their diet, this is a simple and easy (expensive) way to ensure they're getting nutrients they may be missing otherwise. Obviously, someone like yourself who probably eats relatively healthy to the average person won't need this. But for people who have no idea how to eat healthy or want to, this might help them feel better, etc. Definitely not a miracle drink or anything, but also could be a good fit for some people.

For people who aren't dietitians and don't have the ability to easily get in contact with dietitians(ie most people) they aren't going to know what foods they need to eat more of to work on their health. In that sense i think putting vitamins that most people don't know to consume into a nutrient blend is a good idea. I think over saturating tho is a bit sketchy. When you say 400% of daily dose how is that calculated. Is height/ gender important in the discusion, and how important is it. Some needs seem to almost grow exponentially as you look at taller and taller people. Not to mention just looking at the callorie difference between genders. I have to eat nearly twice as many calories as my gf to stay a healthy weight. I'm 5 inches taller than her. I'm just saying they could have so many nutrients so that it's still effective for larger people.

Well, I would typically agree with this review because I do think that there’s a lot of marketing scams within the fitness and health industry. I have to say I disagree strongly about this. It’s not that people can’t or don’t want to eat fruits and vegetables. But it’s the fact that fruits and vegetables have become so expensive and often go bad before we’re even able to eat all of them that the cost alone for a month supply of actual fruits and vegetables nowadays probably be more than a green supplement. Also, there’s a substantial amount of carbohydrates from sugars within fruits, and you’re not getting that when you’re taking a supplement. The point of another comment on here, there are a lot of people that are on the road or working a lot of hours and do not have the ability or the time to make sure they’re getting a balanced diet hence why supplements are even a thing to begin with.

@TheHuester44
@TheHuester44 3 ай бұрын
This reviewer is obviously biased and hasn’t actually used the product. The thing about getting nutrients from your food ideally would be true. However the soil that the fruits and veggies are grown in are often depleted and do not contain the nutrient value you would hope for. I’ve noticed that people who have spent some time in Europe claim the food there is of much better quality. That is because of their farming practices and they don’t use a butt load of insecticides , toxic fertilizers and GMO seeds . So ideally yes getting our nutrients from only food sources wood be excellent. Reality that is very unlikely. So instead of taking several sources of vitamins and minerals which can ad up to hundreds of dollars a month a product like AG1 makes sense. I’ve never used it myself which is why I wanted an independent review of the product of someone who HAS USED the product. Unfortunately this reviewer hasn’t. She’s just giving her opinion. It is fair to be cynical though as the nutritional field is a sketchy one based on profit. Some companies are legit and some are not.

I am not a customer of ag1, just watching videos to educate myself in case I’d like to be one. This video was a waste of my time. In a nutshell: it has known ingredients that if you prefer you can get somewhere else; they have a legal arrangement whereby they do not publish their recipe. This is like, not information that requires more talking than that it would take to read out loud. All the rest is an influencer trying to influence without actually offering any helpful information. Having seen videos where the presenter reviews published health studies while discussing ag1, their claims, and their ingredients, I can say with impunity this video was a complete waste of time

Wow how unusual a cynical dietitian, go figure . The truth is - now days unless you are growing your own organic vegetables or have a friend who is that you can get free or cheap produce from , organic food is really expensive , many can not afford it , so their options are less nutrient dense commercial foods , quality Whole Food supplements that are high quality are very helpful . But I guess you are a dietitian and you want/NEED people going to you for their dietary needs and advice.

I think you offer as much a one sided argument as any greens powder manufacturer. We are not all dieticians or wish to put time into going to the gym. I hate the gym, i have a small one that has dust on it, 2 kids, a business, and a house to take care of. Quick greens powders and protein shakes help. Time wise, youre talking a minute to two instead of easily an hour to round up and scruff down all the ingredients in here. People make time for what they really want right... Well a minute a day can get you all of this "3rd party" tested product, in that fancy ass bottle, then yea. Its worth it. People who smoke spend 300 plus a month on it l, these days. You spent, what, an hour making, editing, posting this video. Id say you are wasting your time, instead of getting people to stop being healthy and falling for these health traps, maybe, be another ding dong on the internet giving work out advice or how to ingest the 75 ingredients ag1 puts up, but naturally. FYI, im a ding dong who is awaiting his first order, but i want to do it for convenience, a great start to the day, i currently use another product, im testing the market. America is fat. It needs all the help it can get, ultimately i agree with you but level the playing field if you are giving an honest shot at a company trying to make people healthy while making s buck. Cause you and i both know, there are much worse companies out there. Unless.. their proprietary blend is cornstarch and toe jam powder. Then. They indeed deserve all the shots and eye rolls hou gave them. 😂

I am a 75 year old woman living on my own. The horrendous cost of fresh fruits and vegetables is so limiting when on a fixed income like I am. My gut does not tolerate fresh greens, I’m diabetic (controlled with diet), I can’t sleep at night (sleep maybe 3-4 hrs a night) and other health issues. When I do splurge for fresh vegetables and fruits, I often end up having to throw some out because I didn’t feel well enough to cook. Between the many vitamins and supplements I take, I was spending more than $100 a month in them. When you add in the cost of food that was thrown out, I probably save money with AG1. I ordered the introductory offer and canceled right away assuming it probably wouldn’t work and I might not cancel before another shipment. I am going in to my second week and have to admit it seems to be helping my gut issues, sleep is improving just a bit and I have more energy. If this continues to improve I will be reordering. NOTHING (Including food) works for everyone. I also know this isn’t the placebo effect as I always assume this kind of thing doesn’t work.

thank you, yes I agree with you , eating a well rounded and balanced diet seems to work beautifully with me, yes it takes discipline and creating a daily routine and taking time to cook and enjoying eating, isn't this better than worrying about am I taking enough pills? am I fat? am I too thin? etc etc ......... If you eat a balanced diet with awareness naturally your body will respond to this positively and you will be healthy and feel joyful and have plenty of energy.

I agree with what you’re saying but here’s what’s weird…. I started to look for an alternative to this nasty uber greens Suja my wife was drinking everyday. Found AG1 and bought a subscription. I’m 2 months in and it has made a HUGE difference for me. I’m actually shocked at the difference. My gut issues have been completely eliminated, my morning energy levels are through the roof, and my performance in the gym has improved, and as a result my sleep has been perfect. Here’s the negative… my energy level in the afternoon gets quite low. Anyways I challenge you to try it for a month, you might change your mind.

@@TheDulce82 A Gastroenterologist and subsequent Dietician (not nutritionist!) visit is what you need. They can do the proper medical diagnosis and tell you what your issue is and what might be causing it. Then they can give you advice for meeting your goals and steer you away from dangerous practices like coffee enemas. Even IF you don't want to take medicine like a pill or infusion, the Gastro will have good advice and the Dietician can help you create a meal plan to keep you healthy. I also suffer from GI issues, and i'm not averse to medicine and i'm doing great because of it, but my long term goal is to be free of my regular infusion visits and incorporate sustainable lifestyle changes like diet and exercise to help. Without a medical doctor and registered dietician it is much harder so I always recommend people see both. Sometimes, though, you can't change your environment such as job, family, local pollutants where you live, etc and you have to trust the peer-reviewed medical science and take some medicine AND make the lifestyle changes. There is no one-stop shop, there is no "cure" for chronic illnesses like GI issues. You have to put in the work and do many different things and attack it from many different angles. Happy to talk about this more if you'd like and best of luck to you.

@@Korterra1364 what infusions are you getting? do the dieticians have blood tests that youre doing regularly? what's a better alternative to a coffee enema?
@Korterra1364
@Korterra1364 Жыл бұрын
@@HH-cv1dr enemas are not a medical treatment. They're largely unproven and not recommended by any medical doctor. "Flushing out" your gut with an enema can actually do more harm because it strips the lining of the mucus and good bacteria that keep it healthy. I take Entyvio for my infusions once every 8 weeks after working with my Gastro for 2 years. It's been life changing and I can't recommend it enough. It gave me my life back.

I think the appeal of these products relates to the fact that many people likely know their diet is Deficient, and this is a quick fix way to address that. But it's certainly not an economically sensible way to do it, nor does it address the underlying problem. Seems more like the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff, because as soon as you stop taking it you're a back to exactly where you started. Personally I think these products are a joke and people should probably just make the effort to eat healthier. The spam-like way this product markets itself through KZbin creators and influences also turns me off. It's very predatory behavior. Does the company really care about their product and their customer or do they just care about how much money it can make them?

I'm definitely not an influencer or sponsored by anyone, but I actually love AG1. I eat fruits and veggies, and get to the gym at least 4 days a week, but I have actually noticed a difference in how I feel after taking this daily. I've been taking it for almost a year now and my lab work I had done in February was better than it has been in years!!! It works for me, but I can see how it might not be for everyone.

I think all of these naysayers have already made up their mind before even performing an analysis. First of all, when you look at studies on various vitamins, minerals, and the like, you find that taking significantly higher doses of certain nutrients above the daily recommended dose has magnificent, affects on your health. Secondly, if you add up what you would pay to try to get this stuff via food or supplementation. The specifically higher dosage of select vitamins and minerals, the probiotics, the prebiotics, the mushroom complex, the antioxidants and immune support. We’re talking at least $50-$60 in pills if not more. Thirdly, I think having all of this stuff isolated into a liquid form and sourced from fruits and vegetables, and things like that, I think the Delivery of these nutrients in this form is worth a premium. So it is no surprise to me that people taking this every day on an empty stomach feel so good. I’m taking athletic greens, and trust me I don’t like to spend money on nonsense, and I feel really good. I think as any kind of nutrition or health, or whatever you wanna call yourself expert I’ve been very interested in that topic for 25 years and I think not only should everyone be supplementing, but I think, especially as you get older you should be looking for very potent Supplements that contain a variety of nutrients like we see an athletic grains.

Overall you seem pretty dismissive, and without watching your whole video catalog I feel like you probably say well just eat better a lot, and I'm pretty sure you charge for your services as a dietician. So I could pay you to tell me exactly what food to eat everyday but I still need to go out and buy/prep/cook said food + life + reality = inconsistent and still expensive..... vs a powder that IS GMP certified so I know I'm getting what is stated in the label and hedging my bets on an easy to use powder that is much easier to be consistent on than a perfectly executed whole food diet that is inconsistently applied.

Because i cath, i cant drink it. The very first time i used it, the very next morning i had burning urine that turned into a full blown UTI. The type of bacteria was proteus that occurs with long term cathing im told and it may hv already been there and the AG1 fed it somehow. Idk but i feel strongly AG1 was involved. I was sad bcuz i was eager to do something good for myself. 😔
