I have always been interested in teaching people nutrition. Thank you for breaking the differences down. I trying to figure out which avenue to take and I think RDN is the one for me.

Thank you so much for your insight of comments. It really helped me a lot. I am myself is a diet technician. I noticed you did not mention the diet technician. It was a class that I took. I got Social degree in and I’m very interested in using it. I guess as a health coach I guess that’s the only alternative I got but if you have any other solutions, any other suggestions, I’ll be very happy and pleased to hear from you, my name is Julia thank you😅😅❤❤❤

Hey Julia! I'm sorry I didn't mention diet technician. Having not really worked in the in-patient hospital, I don't run across DTs very often, and it definitely escaped me as a viable option. Health coach is definitely an option these days! Insurance is starting to cover coaching sessions.

Hi I appreciate your video I’m currently trying to become a holistic nutrition coach if have you any information on that I would love to hear it

That's wonderful! I did not do that certification, so I'm not any help there. You would be limited in that you would not be able to take insurance, just an FYI. But it's likely a quicker route to being finished. Dietitian route is now requiring a master's degree. HOpe that helps!

Thanks for this break down. It was very helpful! I’m a culinary student now, but I really want to work with people and help them make more nutritional food choices, help them make meal plans, help with some cooking techniques etc. So I’ve been bouncing around getting more training or schooling in nutrition to be able to do that well. If I’m more interested in the health coach option, are there any nutrition focused programs you might recommend?

You are so welcome. It's nice to have an idea of what your options are depending which direction you take. For health coaching I did Wellcoaches and highly recommend that program. They have standard and advanced programs as well. It's not nutrition focused per se, but it's focused on health habits overall, which help the most with behavior change and helping clients succeed.

Wow that is fantastic. I'm not sure how difficult it is to get into the military, I've never done that. I do know some former coworkers who did that.

I’m an RN and have been looking into becoming a health coach. I didn’t know using my BSN RN was possible. Would I need to also get a certification as a nutrition health coach as well?
@YourInspiredLife6 ай бұрын
As an RN you don't need a nutrition certification to become a health coach.

I’m looking at a career change. Nutrition and health has been my career for the last 20 years, but I’ve never been certified or educated in nutrition. Is it a four-year degree on top of a bachelors degree?
@YourInspiredLife6 ай бұрын
It's now required to get a Master's degree on top of a 4 year degree.
