The Venerable Tricia Hillas discusses the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German pastor, who was strongly opposed to the Nazi dictatorship. He was executed only a few days before the end of the war.
A statue of Dietrich Bonhoeffer can be found above Westminster Abbey's Great West Door. This statue is one of the Abbey's ten modern martyrs of the 20th-century. The modern martyrs represent Christians who gave up their lives for their beliefs.
