I love the magic, I also love the variety of condensations of the VH4 that we’ve been offered so far. I think a fantastic comparo would be to have the Brainworx VH4 plugin vs VH4 pedal vs VH micro vs VH4 Synergy module vs the real thing.

that's the beauty of solid state. tone is more consistent no matter where you're at on the volume knob. I'm a tube head for sure but these days I've been having to admit solid state has absolute advantages over their tube varieties

That's probably one of the best transistor amps I've heard, it seems like it's using that harsher hard distortion to it's advantage. I'd actually like to hear the preamp from this ran into a tube power amp, maybe run the preamp into the bigger brother DIezel amp I haven't got far enough to know if this has an fx loop yet so not sure if getting a preamp out from it is possible without modification. If so, should definitely compare it's preamp running into the big Diezel compared to the Diezel's own preamp and see how close they got

This is such a good idea. I've always wanted a VH4, but given that I can't afford it, and I live in an apartment and I can't crank it up, it's out of the question. This looks like a great alternative. I only wish they added a headphone or a line out jack, so I could do silent playing on this.

I would assume not to be honest. I used to play with a 20 watt tube head at practice and it had to be cranked to barely sit above the drummer.

@@okaight7248 I think the Victory Kraken pedal is 180w, not full valve though. (still out of my budget) They are a few lunchbox style amps getting close to 50 valve Watts. I just wish orange would release a 50w+ pedal amp

Great review Ola 🤘 there's more and more of these mini amps coming out and the sound from some of the ones you've reviewed have been insane for the size and price. I've got a Randall Diavalo 5 watt head amp and love that little amp it packs a punch for the size. Love and respect from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤘

I've got the bogner blue mini (pretty sure the amp is red though) and it sounds pretty bad straight into the EL34 power section of my Marshall. IME pedals designed to go in front sound dark and muffled when you bypass the amps preamp. Maybe some of those specialised SS amps do better

Since these have a loop it is not that big of deal that they dont havea clean channel. You can always hook up a processor in the 4 cable method to get your clean tones and also add any effects you may need.
