AFAIK Camera and MP3 players are embedded systems that uses controller not processor.

Many embedded systems need controller and processors, sometimes more than one. Camera has more than one processors for Image compression for video processing etc. Mp3 player needs audio procesing, which needs very fast speed, not possible with controller. So mp3 player myst have processor in it . Printer is also embedded system, but has processor and controller in it. Advanced cars, are also Embedded systems and can have more than 50 processors in it.

Arduino is a controller board. It has AVR microcontroller in it. It has many peripherals around it so that you can communicate easily with it. Otherwise you cannot command directly using computer.

Clocks are like our heart. Controller or Processor is a sequntial circuit. It must know exact time and how much time each instruction will take to execute. Clock also decides how fast your controller will run.

Excellent video but I would like to correct you at 10:42. ROM and hard disk are different. You can not write data in ROM but in Hard Disk. BTW very good explanation.

Thank you. ROM stood for Read only Memory, and historically it was correct when we used to only write, as read operation was rarely or only once used in past. Today's ROM can be written as well, and that also at very fast rate. Example your PenDrive is a Flash ROM and it can be written also. Your mobile doesn't have Hard-disk. It's RoM and Ram based only.
