That makes sense thank you. I'm doing way better now. the only trouble is i'm 57. so I wish I had learned this stuff 40 years ago. After getting divorced and going through a 10-year dry spell for a second time in my life, I asked out somebody who's overweight and she is younger though, and the overweight is not perfect sexually, but I've learned that the love that she has for me is more important than a hot body. And I have to keep looking in the mirror to remind myself that I don't look 37 anymore also, and I am overweight as well. For a while there I thought maybe I was just with her as kind of a placeholder better than nothing woman. But as time has gone on, my love for her has grown little by little.

And you are right because for the last year and a half I've been technically homeless, using a van as my apartment, but that's because I've become a writer. after I lost my last job, I decided to just do what I love. women can sense that I have that sense of self which I put before any woman. While my woman will sometimes remind me and complain that I should have a job, shes still attracted to me I think because she knows that I know who I am takes precedence over getting laid. And I can sense other attraction with other women. I have not learned to not be passive yet though that is a big problem of mine. so I guess I should do that. I was trying to not be jealous around her regarding other men, but it sounds like it would be better if I was jealous to communicate my no no's.

I used to think it was glorified prostitution, because if women we're attracted to providers, which always confused me since women go to college too, meaning that they're providers also. and if they're providers why do they need a provider? that if it really was like that, then how would that be different than prostitution? But now I'm looking at it like they must be attracted to a man as long as the man is being his authentic self. And the reason for my bad luck was I didnt know who I was. Low confidence goes hand in hand with not knowing who you are also.

Hi so I was in a serious motorcycle accident (hit by SUV) Nov 22 I'm still recovering from 3 surgeries. I understand what you're saying about over pursuing. The woman I'm in love with came to visit me twice. Second time she stayed for 5 hours. So idk if it was the meds or the situation but I told her how I felt. There has always been a sparkle in her eye when we hang out. She sends me all the signs that she's interested. When she was visiting we laughed and cried. She brought a card and she poured her heart into what she wrote in it. She brought me a stuffed lama named Lola and she kept Lola's brother at home for herself. When she left we held hands for a long time. She caressed my hand and stroke it with her thumb and held it tighter I told her I love her and she said the same. A few days later she text me and asked me "Have I been giving you the impression I want a relationship?" I agreed that she was. She said she was open to a relationship she just didn't see a relationship with me. I was confused then She was so harsh saying if I wanted her to be a bitch about it to be more clear and some other harsh things. She had me in tears. Idk if it emotional immaturity on her part seeing she is 24 and I'm 42. But shes very mature for a 24 yr old and has all her shit together. She's more mature than my 41 yrs old ex-wife. So idk what to do. Did I scare her away? Everytime we've hung out we've spent hours laughing and it's been on the romantic lvl. She will cook dinner I'll make dessert or vise versa. I'm so confused 😭

I was literally thinking about this over the weekend (...well similar). I was questioning myself if I was pursuing this person for the right reasons or if it was just because of us meeting again by chance. Initially, I did feel a little bit obsessive trying to talk to her every day, so I backed away a few feet. I came to realize that the years that we weren't talking, I was slowly increasing my development as hers was increasing at a steeper rate than me. Right now, I'm focused on developing myself more so that way if things do work out, she's not seeing me as me from 'X' years ago. NOTE: I'm not saying that I was to be better than her or be more successful... I'm saying that I don't want to be seen as someone whose dragging their feet through life.

Women are never a need, they are a Luxury item. It might be nice to have one around but it is never needed. Women are emotional that is true, but no women don't have some special power to see inside or you and know what you think. This is why you never share anything with a women that doesn't show masculine traits, if you ever feel weak or insecure etc. Keep that shit to yourself, or share it only with a guy friend, women might say they want you to open up but if you do they will see that as weakness and immediately lose attraction to you. Don't let a women talk you into sharing any feelings that are not strong masculine feelings. Women are attracted to strong men, and even if they think they want to support you emotionally they can't, if you share, she will think less or you, lose respect and eventually the relationship will break down.
