Nice! I have an a custom ping ride from the 90s that I can’t seem to part with. Even though I don’t really play louder music styles anymore, I found it’s just too useful as part of a stack or for the bell sound. Nice video and thanks for sharing.

Good comparison. I actually have the the original Ping ride and have had it when I first started playing in the late 90s. The ride was from the 80s. I really liked that ride but it had no wash when I was crash riding it, I actually had an 18" medium ride I would use for that and projected well on stage. I later switched over to a 22" K-custom from Zildjian and was even more happy.

@@Drizz322 Thank you! I know exactly which Ping Ride you’re speaking of, as I played the exact same one in the 90s and another identical one in the early 2000s. I didn’t even know that there was such a thing as an A Custom Ping Ride until a few months ago. I bought it and fell in love immediately. I’ve got A Customs on the kit in the video and I’ve got K Sweets on my rehearsal kit, so I bought another Avedis Ping Ride for the rehearsal kit, and when it arrived, I tested out both to see if they sound alike and whoa my word, they definitely don’t. That A Custom Ping Ride has crazy attack with very little sustain. Both are great though. I definitely want to try out a K Custom Ride but holy moly K Customs are not cheap. 🤣🤣🤣

@TheArizonaAssasin they were waaaayyyy cheaper when I bought mine. The bell in that cymbal is from heaven above! Superior definition when sticking and playing the bell on the 1 &3 is where it shines. I hope you score one.

That Avedis is just so cool sounding. It has a bit of sizzle the A custom doesn’t have.
