I think I'm here too early.... The HD version hasn't been processed yet

Cans you make a video on how to set up and program. They have a few of these on eBay for sale. I would like to connect to my Quantar as a nice dispatch terminal.

Heh, to get one of these running it needs an entire Astro core behind it. While I am currently installing one, I'm unable to record or show much of the installation, once it's up I can show the setup. But you'll still need an astro core, CCGWs, an conv site controllers. All of that is around 70k at the minimum

Video Idea...... Can you do a console to consolette connection over the LAN port? Is it possible? The Consolette manual that I found does not explain it completely..

APX or XTL/ASTRO Spectra?(some confuse the Tone signaling rj45 as a Ethernet port) And what console? MCC71/75/75E with anything? No. The MCC7x00 requires a core of some type, be that K core or otherwise. Motobridge yes, the motobridge RGU can connect to up to 4(or 8) APX consolettes via the lan port and a Ethernet switch (if needing more than 1) MCC5500- not via the lan port but can use the wireline

@@anongator My thoughts are MCC7500 with a K core.. Than a APX consolette remoted over IP network instead of tone remote. Also would you have time sometime to do a walk through a core backend software.

@@anongator The age of no sleep allowed me to read up on the motobridge rgu and the WSGU last night. That is something I had no idea Mother Mot had. The rabbit hole of MOT is never ending....

@shawnolson8222 yea its quite a nice piece of kit, the OMC SW sucks at the higher revisions... However you can use them as RGUs for wave 5000 (working on that rn)
@anongator Жыл бұрын
That would work I "think". I can't go over the core software for reasons.

Verrrry Interesting, BUT expensive. Typical for the BATWING products. Can we say light years ahead of Centracom II ! Thanks for the info, Motorola sets the standards and patents the technology so companies like ZETRON can’t compete on the market against the big black M. Been an M fan for years and now as the tech changes, the last gen equipment coming to market becomes more affordable.

Keep in mind that $6,500 price tag is the *USED* price with no Algos loaded XD Plus you can't just get the VPM and expect a console as they are very reliant on having a core of some kind

We call those USB speakers the “mini fridge” speakers 😂

On another note with those, we had major issues when the MCC7500e was first being deployed in our area with the USB going to sleep and killing connection to the speakers and AIM. Also, we use the USB Desk Mic’s

@computerdude5566 yea. Part of the Common box profile (from what I've picked up on) with 2019+ it changes the power profile to prevent this behavior.

@@anongator Nice, I have a couple XTS radios and thought it would be interesting to check out local surplus auctions but I'm sure most stuff is 7/800 MHz or long gone
