As a mother of 6 boys and 4 girls, I cannot say either was harder per se. I think my girls were a "little easier" in the younger years and the boys in the older years (boys seem to have constant on-the-go energy). But honestly, it really does have to do with parenting. They all learned to be quiet and sit during our long (back then) services. (books and drawings helped!) I thank the Lord I had good godly mentors and did lots of biblical studies on family life. Hard work? YES! But I am so thankful for the blessing of having children!

I have 6 boys and 1 girl, with another on the way. I know raising 6 girls would be way different. I used to imagine moms of girls were sitting around having tea parties with their daughters enjoying calmness. That's probably not reality. My house is definitely not calm. But I love it.

I have only one child a girl who has been a good child and a blessing; she is now a responsible adult working for this states university and has bought her own home...she continues to be a blessing to her father and I. My mother on the other hand had 10 children (lost 2 as infants) and raised the remaining 8 (3 boys and 5 girls), she always said that she would rather raise girls any day, lol. I guess it differs from one case to the next. Love watching your family and have followed you guys for years. Since Mr. Kirkland was helping with Justin Rhodes buss build. I had 2 girls and 1 boy. My observation on girls...they are sweet but more clingy, wanting me to hold them or more contented to sit in my lap than do stuff independently. On the contrary, I couldn't keep my son on my lap, he was always down on the floor playing or trying to figure things out, or how things work.

Sweet and beautiful to watch both of you families! And love hearing all the advice and such that you had to say. I'm a grandma but I adore my grandson and we have another grandson on the way. We had the one and only son after a marriage of 10 years. We homescooled him all 12 years. But there are circumstances that have happened in his marriage and our grandson had leukemia at 3 and praise God he is completely cancer free. Our son bought the house next door to us so we're so thankful to have him nearby. And we get to see our grandson a lot which is such a blessing. We were in a homeschool co-op with families that had the numbers of children that you and your friends have. It was really a great adventure for me since we moved from Memphis Tennessee to Cincinnati Ohio 30 years ago and I came out of a corporate career of 15 years. That was a huge change for me but thank God I was hearing his voice and obeyed him and my next door neighbor happened to be a homeschool mom. She taught me everything I needed to know and I had a lot of certified teachers in The homeschool co-op who helped with great advice. Bless you guys extremely and may many mothers and fathers humbly receive the advice and counsel that you are so anointed I would say to give. Bless you so much!

Mom here of 3 girls and the 4th and youngest one a boy. I also think that raising boys are easier, but my son as a child was a real daredevil so it was a bit unnerving for me after having my girls first! I was a single parent most of the time, as well. So without a husband and father figure for my children, I had a bigger and more difficult role to fill, which made it harder to be a parent working outside the home.

So beautiful to see this Biblical perspective of boys and girls both created in the image of God. In a world with a lot of confusion being put upon children, it is so important and beautifully refreshing to see the truth modeled and talked about. May the Lord encourage many families through this video to cherish the gift of children they have been given to care for and nurture. May the Lord bring powerful restoration over all that interferes with communication and relationships within His families, such as autism.

Y’all were so on point with this topic. Cultivating the hearts and minds of kids impact their thinking and behavior. As someone who got a call to do children’s ministry many years ago, one thing God gave me was Luke 18:15And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 17Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.” With that, you’re right. We have to raise them to have knowledge of God’s Kingdom and encourage their lives in it with things like honoring and loving God. Thank God that there is grace for the commitment of raising them under godly teachings and it’s all for His glory.

I had 5 brothers and always longed for a sister and now have 2 daughter and 2 sons. I’m so thankful my daughters came first for that answered the cry of my heart. All of them were fairly easy to raise and perhaps being around the guys so much kept any possible ‘drama’ out of my life and my girls as I just never experienced it. Now I can say I just love them all and am so happy for the gift of them.

We have two sons that are now grown. I certainly remember the days when they were little. Our first son was easy going and very cuddly. Wow did we get a surprise with our second son. He has always been a fighter and tester of any guidance or direction show to him. I believe our personality is something we’re born with but it can be modeled to a certain extent. We have followed your channel since almost the beginning and it’s always uplifting. I’m certain this new format will be as encouraging as the earlier ones. Thank you for all of the work you do on your mission for the Father. God Bless

Wonderful interview on both of the perspectives. I just wanted you to know that your song in the Silo sessions that you two ladies sang: Nearer My God To Thee, has such special meaning to my older generation family, and also to me and I hope my daughters. My mother and grandmother told the story of my grandmothers sickly little sister at about 2ish years old. She climbed up on the piano stool and picked out Nearer My God To Thee; and then fell over dead…my grandmother, and her daughters including my mother, all had beautiful harmonizing voices, and when they would get together and sing it was so beautiful. I remember as a young girl listening to them sing, they always started out with Nearer My God To Thee, and ended their singing together with it. My Mother passed away at the age of 94 on Aug 5th during the very early morning hours. About 7:00 pm on the night of Aug 4th, my two daughters, one granddaughter, and myself played your Silo Session of Nearer My God To Thee and we sang along too. I like to think we all including your sweet voices, sang her to Heaven. I also had your rendition played at her graveside service. I dearly love your Silo Session, and hope to purchase it soon. May God Bless you both and your families. You touch hearts that you don’t even know…thank you.

If i was economically well than i dreamed four children two boys, two girls. But now i have only one son. And I'm happy for him. Thank you God for everything. In this video i noticed fathers are very helpful to grow their children and their economic condition is good. It's all depends on ur circumstances. God bless ur family abundantly 👏👌🤗

Very nice episode! I appreciate how you were willing to look critically at where you were going with the channel, and adjusting it to fit what you felt was best for the family and still honoring to the Lord. It's inspiring to see families raising up children in the fear and grace of the Lord.
