That is so key!!!! You may not even realize it, but it's absolutely mission critical, the way you respect each other as spouses and coparents in front of your children totally sets the example for them of how to regard and honour their future wives (if someday you have a daughter her future someday husband), and it teaches them how as a spouse they are to be treated Great Job!!!!

Hi, My name is Sarah. I am from Kenya, in Africa. I love the Lord Jesus as my saviour and I love children! I stumbled on your videos during this pandemic season, about two months ago. I just love what you people are doing. We have a lot in common and so I subscribed to your channel. I have been following since then. I love the music too! It blesses my heart every time I watch and listen and most of the time it leaves me with tears in my eyes. The episode that touched me the most was when Daddy went out with your eldest son for a hike as you prepared him for baptism. I do Discipleship for Children and my heart was warmed by the video. I have 4 kids 3 boys...youn men now n a teenage girl. God bless the work of your hands. Amen.

You guys are wonderful! We could go on and on about what a Godly home you are building. No family is perfect, we all know that. But, you are doing a great job with your boys. I would have liked these tips 25 years ago when we raised our 2. I would also add a huge tip for mom and dad, is to pray for, and with your children daily. You must have the Spirits covering, and do your best to keep them from negative peer pressure. This was a huge struggle for us, but your boys have a great foundation. You are a loving, humble Godly family. God's grace will cover your weaknesses. We love you even though we've never met you. 🥰👍. Jesus is King!

Excellent. I'm 65 years old and our children are long gone now. I've realized more in the past several years, though we thought we raised them in a godly home, we were not careful with our one on one relationship building, and definitely not enough of praise given. We were brainwashed into the American dream theory -- build a house, have 2 cars, wife works to help it all happen. Sadly, though Christians, we did not see the detriment of my working as a mother instead of being in the home more to lovingly rear our children. This isn't a judgement, sincerely at all, upon others who both work outside the home. I'm only saying for my husband and myself, we now believe that it's more a blessing to have the wife in the home. I hope I didn't say anything I shouldn't. I don't want to cause conflict. I'm thankful so much for your family and your example of love and godliness. Blessings to you all.

I think that you can be a friend and a good parent to your child. To guide/discipline them when needed, and to both love AND like your child, too. Children are more likely to obey their parents if they know that their parents actually like them. It is good for a child's emotional well being to feel liked by their mum and dad.

I think what Gloria means is to be a friend to your child, neglecting the structured guidance which includes discipline etc. I’ve also seen parents be so nice to their kids that the kids grow up thinking everyone wants to be their friend when they are overly spoiled and selfish thinking the world revolves around them (I did kids ministry and was a nanny for many years). Of course it’s important to be your child’s friend but being their parent involves so much more. Get Gods “balance” and you’ll raise amazing people!!

This is a beautiful merging of being authoritative, yet respectful and kind and loving. In today's society, we give our children too many options. We can be their authority (under Him, of course!) but do so in a gentle, respectful way. Letting our children a choice to listen to us hurts them in the long run. In order to obey God, they must learn to listen and obey first! Which is why the parent training is SO CRUCIAL! if we walk with Him, so will our children.

Psalm91 you are not alone, I’m right there too. My three boys were treated horrible by their father and we wound up in a battered woman’s shelter. So, I raised them as best I could, never any child support, nothing from dad. Now they are grown but still wounded and not saved. Guilt has been my burden too. Wish I could hug you and make it all better! You are my sister in Christ and I didn’t want you to feel you are the only one struggling. My verse is Ps. 91, too.

His children. Just say ok God I didn't do everything right but I know you've forgiven me. So I put them into your hands now. The best place to be. Guilt be gone. Nobody is good. The Bible says that. Each person gets to make their own choices. Even Gods first children Adam and Eve sinned. That's just life. But I ask you Father God to now give me your peace and joy as I trust you completely to perfect all that concerns me..amen

This was a wonderful video about raising your boys 💙. When my 1st child was born, we were not following the Lord and it breaks my heart to think of how things could have been. Your children are very blessed to have a Godly Mom and Dad. Wish I had examples like you when my son was growing up. I pray for him every day but he is still of the world. God Bless You Always and I look forward to your next video 🙏🏻

I am praying for you and your family. I was not following the Lord when I began a family either. But He is good, and I put my faith that if He wills it, He will provide! I believe that the Lord will reach your son and I will continue praying for you both.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. proverbs 22:6 My dad use to rcite this to me everytime.Esp when Im naughty.He will smack me at times.And few minutes later he would sit me dwn and explained to me why he had to smack me and say sorry and that he loved me thats why he had to correct me and let me knw that what I did was wrong.After that he will recite that verse to me. I love my dad.May He Rest In Peace.

Diamond Ansong I didn’t say it was abuse but regardless if you did the same thing to an adult or an animal it would be considered inappropriate but ok to do it to a child? No no no. Never.

I understand... everyone has a different parenting style. But, I just believe there is a difference between disciplining with love and abuse. I have to say I'm appreciative of my spankings now that I'm older... we had a beautiful balance of love all the time and spanking when need be. Everybody doesn't spank some people yell, some people put in the corner, some people ground, some people may give work, and some people talk... i feel all have their place in raising a child... thats a village of personalities and it takes a villiage
@Jkaye13
@Jkaye13 3 жыл бұрын
Diamond Ansong l agree! "Spare the rod, spoil the child" is one of multiple Scripures that address discipline. Spanking is used on younger children and other measures are used for older children.. The disobedient behavior should be explained to the child, and the child should be told/shown love after. Yah chastens those He loves and we should do the same. No one is talking about physical abuse here, and discipline is reserved for outright defiance and rebellious behavior, NOT for teaching/training.

i am a 67 year retired pastor/counsellor who had 5 children through God's grace - 2 daughters and 3 boys. This couple has such a nice way of showing parents how "family" works, or should work. Looking at their videos bless me and i will pray for young parents like them and to make God's grace practical;. May your children grow up and keep respect and love towards their parents - always. Pray for their spouses, this will bring spritual fruits for the "CLAN" and develop charater and more. Bless you all!

Your video just blessed my spirit. Like a breath of fresh , cool air. Everyone of your boys are so precious. I love the interaction between your family. Saw the boys helping take care of the little ones. So special! And Noah being adventuresome on the couch arm. Haha And mom saying she had to work a little more with him. Haha. I got such a laugh from that. Brought back a lot of memories of our children. Thank you so much for sharing your family with us. I appreciate how parents who love Jesus like you do are teaching their children about his love. Bracken, and Lindsey, I have to know our Saviour is smiling on you and all six of those precious boys of yours. Your family makes my heart smile.

This was so helpful. The format made it easier to learn and pay attention when you labeled things on the screen. Validating too as God has led me with these tips. Imperfectly following, but it's worth the intention. Thanks for emphasizing the positive in the approaches and joy in parenting. I wish I had understood the stages. I think it would have relieved a lot of pressure on myself and them. Feels like I jumbled up the stages and now mine are already 10+. God has made it work. Thanks also for firmly clarifying physical discipline and that there's a line not to be crossed. I carry much righteous indignation towards professed followers of God who take advantage of their personal authority to fulfill their penchant for power and control. Devastating lifelong effects. No justification for abuse in any form. Thankfully, God truly has much better ways. Thank you for your humility with us and your children. Your family has been a blessing to me for several years now.
