I just want to say as an assistant in school myself, I love how you include your assistant. Just by asking her to hold a piece of hair, having her curl a few strands or the whole head for you, and then also include her in round brushing. I wish my boss would ask me to do that or allow me to more like it. It's not as if she's losing any money from me helping her and it gives me the experience. I just thought I would put that out there as a praise to you, the hairstylist, and as a tip for other stylist who have or have thought about having an assistant. Either way, assistants love to help and it's nice when we get to do more than just sweep, watch, and wash towels😊
@YannisGoedermans3 жыл бұрын
I mean that's what's an assistant is for isn't it? When I was an assistant/apprentice I was washing all clients, doing root retouches and blow drying them. At least the clients that allowed the blow dry. And of course sweeping, washing coffee cups and all that fun stuff.

Beautiful work!👍👍 You foil same exact way I do & makes the most sense going from bottom up so foils stay put! Also like how you break down your pricing w/the options you include-thanks for sharing that! Just curious if you book clients in between your colors &/or foils? I dont to keep my sanity as many of my clients have more hair than God lol (as do I) plus most salons Ive worked for/rented at had no assistants & hiring my own wasn't always feasible
@staceychance15 жыл бұрын
Well I can tell you’re not in California by those prices. 😂 Those were very reasonable, especially considering you do more foils than anyone I’ve ever seen. You make blondes look so good! 🙌🙌
@staceychance15 жыл бұрын
Rose Legg 😂 yeah all depends on where you live. She’s in Utah. Im from California, originally from LA in CA and it’s about $95 for just a blow out. I now live in the Bay Area in CA, prices are wayyyy higher than hers. Don’t move girl, it costs so much to live here!! That’s why the pricing evens out. 😊 Another subject I thought was so nice that she talked about was pricing with everything included, it’s so helpful. Pricing things separately really limits you a stylist from being able to make your clients look their best and keep the integrity of their hair. It’s a win win, I hope anyone pricing separately will take that tip. I’ve never done it separately, but I would die if my client walked out the door with out a toner and that’s my work and she just paid me a bunch of money to look unfinished. I just thought that was the best take away from this vid. 😊
@staceychance15 жыл бұрын
Rose Legg oh that’s soo good! 👌 IKR 😊

If you priced that low in CA people think "She must not be very good." I h ad to bump my pricing up to get credibility, even thpigh my work was always good.

@@roseemerald7351 Girl i just recently moved to NJ because California was insane. I paid $2,500 a month for a 3 bedroom townhome, when I sold it in 2016 it was listed as a Condo, I almost had a heart attack. But if you walk into a Orange County salon in California you can get amazing education and then you teach in Oklahoma and you will make bank (you're considered a mega Senior stylist or a know it all). Anyhow!! Good luck! here if we charged this amount we'd loose our entire clientele as well. We're by the country area.

Usually a client will come in with any level of natural hair, do a full highlight to get pretty blonde & then do partials or halfs in between to touch up. I can understand being Latina myself that the regrowth would be very dark & noticeable though.

I’ve been requesting this video I’m so happy you finally made it. I like that you broke down your pricing that also helps me in my own business because I am a booth renter but do my own pricing. Some clients don’t understand the break down. Pricing “STARTS AT...” when the toners and extra product comes into play is where it adds to it. Also what brushes are those ? You knew you’d have some of us asking :) Ps I’m so super sad I missed the Dallas color class before it sold out. You should open up another class since you’ll already be there 😄
