You are explaining different types of shoe/boot construction, not "welts". The only shoe/boot that you have with a "welt" are your 270 degree goodyear welted shoe/boot. And your 360 degree goodyear welted shoe.

You’re actually wrong. You must not understand the actual meaning of the terms.

@@AaronsRandomLife Well please explain, you should not just say I am wrong. You should explain why I am wrong. I will give you a step in the right direction. Welt is a strip (normally leather) between a shoe/boot sole and upper through which they are sewn together. A blake stitched shoe has no such leather strip (welt). The upper and sole are sewn directly together. A rapid blake stitched shoe does incorporate a strip which is sewn to the upper and then to the sole. This creates a space between that is normally filled with cork. Similar to a Goodyear welted shoe. However technically it is not considered a Goodyear welted construction. Thus the term Blake Rapid stitched. And legally they must use that term. I hope this was helpful.

@@jamesmosley8675 you really need to try and feel superior, don’t you? Do you make sure to call them facial and toilet tissue? Or have you ever referred to them as a Kleenex? This video, wasn’t made so that cobblers could argue with each other. This video was made so that a normal person, could understand the different types of sole attachments, commonly referred to as the welts. The shoe community, typically refers to this general area, as the welt. Yes, Blake rapid stitch is a trademark name. BUT, Allen Edmonds speed welt construction is very similar to Blake rapid stitch, yet includes the word welt. There are technical terms within the industry to differentiate specific things when ordering parts and such, that the general public will never use. The strip sewn to the footbed of a Blake rapid stitch, to the layman, appears just like a welt, so that’s why they would think of it as a welt. I am sorry that you expect every single person talking about a subject to be institutional in their specificity, but not all videos are supposed to be part of a study course in a that subject. Maybe someone buying shoes just wanted a little info in words they could understand. You really must be fun at parties.
