@@mksolid82 I grew up with this show and have fond memories it as well, but this is the first time I noticed how unbelievably creepy this intro actually is... Watch it without the music. Diff'rent Strokes was initially devised to serve as a vehicle for both Conrad Bain and Gary Coleman. Bain had recently finished a six-year run co-starring as Dr. Arthur Harmon on the hugely successful Maude. When that series ended production following an unsuccessful revamp in spring 1978, Tandem Productions producer Norman Lear was keen to find a suitable sitcom for Bain to star in. Ten-year-old Coleman, meanwhile, had caught producers' attention after appearing in a number of commercials and TV guest roles, and the previous year had starred in three pilot episodes by Lear that attempted to revive the Little Rascals film series of the 1920-40s. The pilots did not sell although they were later edited into a television film for some markets. Lear saw immense potential in Coleman and was determined to find him a suitable sitcom, and it was decided that Bain and Coleman would make a good, if unusual, pairing for the project.

I gotta say that Mr. Drummond is one of the best yet overlooked TV Dads out there, and unlike some of his contemporaries (like Dr. Huxtable and Rev. Camden), his actor was the real deal. A gentleman, a professional, and someone who really looked out for his "kids." Even when Conrad Bain passed, Todd Bridges said that it was like losing his actual father. May he, Dana, and Gary all rest in peace.

At 42 Gary was still lookin like he was still 10 (which is how old he was when the show debuted! Roxie Love, what happened to as you get older (in this case acting), you get passed over some roles for younger actors, HUH? Boy, you guys keep doin' these hypocritical 360s (now on age!) It was NOT terribly long ago that 42 you were considered way too old for a lotta shit! You do NOT have to be 65 or older to know better!!!

Screamin Mime well the Mandela effect time we've been washed over us I still got trees memories of a clown already in charge of California his name is Governor Moonbeam but in my timeline alternate back in the eighties and they was Jerry Brown and he drove around in a VW Volkswagen and lived in an apartment rather than in the governor's mansion? Any David some singer named Linda Ronstadt. But now in this new alternate reality he's a f****** caplets businessman selling all rights to all companies so I'm glad I still got Trace memories of the Mandela effect time-wave when they cranked up that reactor in Switzerland everybody else don't have no memory except me Star Trek episode in which the aliens erase Captain Picard in the crews memory but they could not erase data memory because they did was not a person so they don't have Trace memories of everything because when Captain Picard on the inner that particular region of space data turned around said captain that would not be advisable because of the inherent dangers? And Captain Picard not knowing that he experienced that reality told data while you're not obeying my orders and data could not tell him the real truth that they almost died if they data hasn't pleaded for their lives

Speaking of the ME... I'm here because I noticed something about this theme song. Don't ask me why it is was in my mp3 collection, as it probably has been for over a decade along with some other 80's tv hits like Airwolf. Anyway, I distinctly remember a soulful 'hmmmm" at the end of the song. I've checked everywhere opening, closing, original etc nothing -it just cuts off. Coincidentally enough, the Queen's"We are the Champions" also ends on "World"... or was supposed to anyway. Long story short, this should end with ...Different Strokes to Move the World! -Hmmmmmmmm"
