@@Axel22250 I have no choice but to rely on low to medium level assists. I know assist slow me down, but again, I can't afford controller (let alone wheel) right now. Well, I don't count myself as F1 2021 players, since I don't own one. I only play rFactor and GTR2 with subsequent mods and they offer great keyboard support.

Should've tried actual keyboard for the keyboard player part, i've done 6 seasons on keyboard (5 on F1 2017 and 1 on 2020) and I must say once you get used to it you can actually compete with decent level of AI (90-95)

I use keyboard with F1 2018 and I get no acceleration out of corners. It’s fine with F1 2013 tho

As a keyboard player, I can tell you that with full assists I'm able to play pretty well at 90-100 AI (depending on track). Of course, it's like winning the Tour de France on a bike with training wheels, but I'd say it's still something

0:40 this often happens to me online because i turn on the start assits in offline gameplay but that doesn't work in ranked. So i never press A to go.

Try your best to turn it on, after a few tries you’ll get it right. Your starts will be much better

I put in good pole laps with 100% ai as a keyboard player you just need practice Yes some circuits like monaco and suzuka are a pain in the ass

Yeah. Me too, I get Pole Position with a Alpine/Renault at Barcelona, with AI on 100% difficulty. But at Monaco and Suzuka, even with a Mercedes or RBR I can't do that

You are absolutely right. In the video, they showed the keyboard users very badly. I was using keyboard 6 months ago and I remember winning 102 competitions (Austria). I'm using gamepad now, my time has increased :D I hope all keyboard users get behind the wheel as soon as possible.

Keyboard player here. For the most part the one represented in the video is a novice player. Yes, you rely on assists a little but with good practice you can get some good times even on a keyboard. Ps- im slower on a controller lol

Keyboard player here. It's quite true, but if you manage to feel the car under the keys you'll drive faster. Traction control is absolutely necessary, for me at least. But after hours of playing, I'm now using manual shift with low brake assist and 3D line only during turns, and I'm competing for the lead at 70% AI. Man, Verstappen is fast at 70%.

As a keyboard driver, I can relate on the first one when I still in the first time in F1, because the control reaction is kinda different from some old Sim like R07 and GTR2. Now I can drive better and enjoyable with keyboard, although it still need some assistance like TCS and ABS... But I don't know why I'm terrible with the Controller...

ABS is mandatory for keyboard players. TCS is almost mandatory too, sadly we don't have power control of throttle and brake
