Rewireble fuse came in 5 15 20 30 45 and 50amp . Ie white blue yellow red green and orange carriers also the carriers should have a small peace of solid asbestos in the centre as a flash absorber. And yes they are still compliant and can still be installed. Contrary to popular belief regulations can only be applied from the time they come in to force not before , so if you see an old installation with a rewireble fuse bird and no RCD it if fine as it was installed before the regs on RCDs came in to force . Sorry forgot, fantastic video as always Gaz 👍👍👍❤️

For the record, it is not true that regulations can *only* be applied to new or upgraded installations - it’s just far more common.

Could you do a video explaining BS 60269 fuses and how the standard overlaps with BS 1361 and BS 88?

Hi, I wonder if you would explain about P.V solar system. Just the part after invertor towards C.U? I wonder if off grid and on grid feed all goes to Henley block and the feed the consumer unit. Any suggestions please? Thanks

if yo look at the pin design a lower rated fuse can be fitted into a higher rated fuse holder ( de rating circuit fuse ) but a higher rated fuse can not be fitted in to a lower rated fuse holder ( stopping you over valuing fuse ) . the pins on the 5 amp fuse can well handle over 5 amps.

I would have thought a CB would have a better fusing factor than a cartridge fuse with the latest technology ? Is this an issue
@JasperJanssen2 жыл бұрын
It does. Lower is better.
