Cardfight!! Vanguard: Dimensional Robo Deck Profile (March 2017)

The first Dimensional Robo deck profile since early 2016, we finally take a look at the updated Daikaiser deck with the support from G-CHB02 "WE ARE!!! TRINITY DRAGON", and the overwhelming help of Daimax.
I present this deck in a way that'll allow it to age well, which I felt was a problem with the previous deck list that I posted, as I didn't make a follow-up video and just uploaded updated deck pictures on my Twitter and/or Facebook page.
Don't forget that you can always fiddle around with some of the ratios and build whatever works best for you! I suggest some of the changes that can be made throughout the video, but feel free to leave any others in the comments as well.

Amazing profile as always. I find myself always in awe over your passion and thoughts going into each Robo build you put together. I love the conversations! It's a good way to pry into the minds of those who are out here battling on the front lines. Yeah... as much as I loathe draw triggers... I realize that they're important. Daihawk/Goyusha need that hand replenishing. ^_^; ... And it would be nice to not feel so constricted in battle sometimes. I guess my assessment of the meta if just watching clan placements and tops... It's just uh... a lotta thoughts about defending early enough to not be out of it before the clan gets rocking. I like how people are slowly coming onto Wilking. It's a real spicy tech to take advantage of that huge soul that Robos build up over the course of the game if Hawk is used or just a lotta Daibazookas are seen. By dodging the Cosmic engine... you don't get super use out of it but you aren't looking to use it a lot... just that one lone shot when things line up. It's rather intriguing to see in action. I guess my only lone question would be about... uh... well... the Stride Zone. How deep into the Strides do you usually go in a game? On average have you been getting to a 3rd or 4th stride in your matches or have things been so wrapped up before you got to the end that it was already a done deal one way or the other? Just cross-referencing data and test runs. ^_^; The new arts and cards look as stunning as I would go on to imagine and I can't wait to get my hands on them so I can go forth and delegate Justice to the highest level! Your presentation and love of Dimension Police shines in this video and it keeps the fight alive for the Star Gate. Keep on the grind and continue to stay as passionate about Justice as the rest of us Ensigns out here! Oh... I forgot... You sir better continue to BELIEVE IN JUSTICE! xD!

Small correction: DaiKaiser Leon seems so be inspired by Protagonist from the now legendary Mecha Anime called "Jushin Thunder Liger", another one of Obaris creations from the 80ies. When Liger gets his Thunder-Phoenix upgrade later on in the show he looks a lot like DaiKaiser Leon, esspecially the Head-Design. You can also look at the Pro-Wrestler with the same name who uses Liger as his character (It started out for him as a marketing deal until he became one of the most famous und successull Pro-Wrestlers of Japan which is why he still performs as Liger in the ring to this day. His costume resembles Liger with his Thunder-Phoenix-Armor nowadays.) More on Topic: Have you tried Goflight in your Trigger-Lin-up? I'm testing her right now, and yes, she is a vanilla stand-Trigger, but she is atleast a D-Robo which is usefull for DaiHawk. Up until a few days ago I used Reika as stand, but sadly, she just didn't work for me. I always, ALWAYS drew my Grade 3s or DaiBazooka with her when I was in a Guard-Break Turn, and I sadly never got my secondarys draws with her. I was also thinking about using Grandscold to give Weaking about more ammo, but he doesn't seem as strong in a D-Robo deck then he is in my new Metalborg build. Another question: What are you going to change once Atlantis Dolphin gets released? I have a hard time thinking about what I should cut just because of how tight the Space in a D-Robo G-Zone has become. I'm thinkg about 2 X-Caribu, 1 G-O-Five and 1 Atlantis Dolphin (I run every D-Robo strides at max. I need my 4 DaiEarth because my locals have a lot of Granblue-, Shadow- and Kagero-Players X_x I sadly sometimes just need a second superior call because of this.)

I am still considering using Daihawk as the G0 starter, I love how Goyusha is a toolbox in my deck, I run Dailion, so I tend to superior stride Great Daiyusha to presure the opponent. Or other cases with Goyusha I ride the G3 needed at the moment.

That G2 line-up seems to be quite common, I personally feel I either need to commit to Reson or Fighter, but for now tournaments are asking me to use Fighter until the meta slows down LOL

I've been playing 6 draw 6 crit for awhile now and I think it's really solid for helping me sustain myself since this deck doesn't help you live very well. I play 2 of the enigman draws because he can go into the soul to power up a RG and fuel Weaking to be able to continue living for a bit longer so you can continue to beat your opponent in the face.

It is definitely personal preference since I really like draw triggers, I've found them to be very useful in helping me get what I need or just helping me not die a painful death. And it's nice to recover from plays that require me to commit a lot. Like when you want to rush with laurel, punch their face in early game with daihawk, or just smash a lot of cards to try and kill with the breakride legion. The draws can help maintain myself. Plus the new enigman is really great and helping your rear guards and abusing the hell out of Weaking. I'm really loving how many options we have for this deck now, and are able to play well with what ever we're most comfortable with. We aren't forced to run a standard cookie cutter build in order to be competitive.

still can't understand how people hate so much on daihawk I actually wait for the day that he isn't allowed as starting vanguard anymore... because you have such a big advantage if you have the first turn especially if you are able to Laurel the opponent when you stride into daiearth you can decide the game then and there and actually don't really make much minus because you get 6 cards back if the restand works. even one of the guys from my shop bad mouthed him and said he was such a bad card etc. until I showed him the mighty justice xD I also play the G3 base like you so 4/4/2 and it works pretty great especially because the breakride legion turn usually is the turn that kills my opponent because he come with crit 3 and double guard break so one g3 and usually his defense is in shambles. sadly I only have 3 laurels at the moment :/ it is still hard to get I have the feeling someone who got crushed by it one to many times bought up all laurels xD weaking is such a nasty card and with daihawk you get lots of soul for him xD good thing also with it is that you can put G3 or Bazookas you have in soul in the drop and then put them back into the deck with daijet or legion. so I play 3 laurel, 2 yuka, 2 dailion, 2 weaking and 4 daishield at g1 because I already had it that the opponent kept me on 3 dmg so i couldn't use the Limit breaks and then one of the Dailion can come in handy. the trigger base I play 4 crits, 4 stand Reika, 4 draws and 4 heals, which also works pretty well because you get so many crits by default in the deck and rinkas draw and power also is nice. at the moment I play 4 daimax, 4 leon and 4 daiearth but I also was thinking of putting down daiearth to 2. I think the highest X-Tiger turn I ever had was 94k xD interesting I usally always get 30k attacks so I have 2 captian dickface I mean X-Carivou (but have you realized that his animal transform head is between his legs xD) in my deck. so I asume you will put out dizmel or the other cray for Dolphin once it is released or one of the enigman gguards? Where did you get that Playmat it is beautiful :D

Also, I was going to ask: I know it's only been like a day since you uploaded this video but have you tried the Freezray/Messiah or Kagero matchups yet? I'm just still trying to figure out ways to get over those two. Thanks. 😉

You can't use daimax on the second stride and gain crits for your rears. If you use Daiearth on first stride and this on the second stride, you will have three Gs facing up. The skill needs 4

Though I do not know if he could be a large improvement or not, would Earth Element, Dogetts be a good card to run for the legion/break ride turn? Cause then you would be able to stack two guard breaks to the top of your deck and break 4 guards guaranteed and probably deal three damage, then do some laurel jazz if it does hit.

How do you handle when all 4 Laurels are removed from your reach? Say by, misride, damage check, field control, etc. I've seen some players pretty much give up after that happens to them, same if you misride and lose Weaking? Do you have a back up plan for the deck if that happens?

122886MCP I would just use Daimax or X- Tiger. If your still lucky enough to live past 1st stride Daiearth then Damiax and X- Tiger can still push for damage and give alot of pressure. Also, if the opponent is already at high damage, Leon should usually be fine on his own.

I used to before, but the more you play the deck the more you realise that it doesn't do much: if you don't have a Dailion on the field when you wanna break ride, then you won't be doing much anyway. I dropped him quite a while ago simply because he wasn't being useful whatsoever. If you want you could replace Weaking with him, but I personally wouldn't. Hope that answers your question!

for the daikaiser legion, how many crit hit w/out breakride? do daikaiser and daiyusha each have 1 for a total of 3 dmg or do you only count crits on true daikaiser?

in total 3 critical if you breakride and legion and you only count True Daikaiser's critical

avengingangel917 When you are in Legion, both the mate and legion leader don't share criticals. Meaning, when you hit limit break and fulfill Daiyusha's critical requirement, Daiyusha will have its own extra critical while True Daikaiser will have his own extra critical (unless your short on DRobo soul) and guard crush. So when you meet the requirements, when you attack, without breakride, True Daikaiser will swing for 2 criticals not 3.

This is definitely as Super Robot as it gets haha, but sadly it's also quite expensive. The only other Super Robot deck that will be (hopefully) soon viable with upcoming support is Grandgallop. Bushiroad stated that you'll actually be able to build a full Gallop deck solely out of cards from the upcoming set, so you may want to wait for that in February haha

Daihawk will not be affected since daihawk is there to make sure you get to stride first as most games,the one who gets to stride first gets a big advantage

I have a question about diamax, when you stride him second can't you use his second skill since ony after one stride you'll only have 3 dimensional robos face up so he wont be able to give +5k and crit to RGs so i dont really get the point you mention, pls explain

The main timing also requires you to have G Guarded (which I sadly forgot to mention), that way you'll have 4 face up. Also, you can have ANY face up G Units for Daimax's skill, they don't need to be Dimensional Robos.

Not him, but you'll usually go Daiearth > G-Guard an attack with Patriot > Daimax to keep the pressure train running. Hope that helps. ^_^

Btw would you consider swapping X-tiger with X-lead? I feel like Daimax already does what X-tiger does, and X-lead and Laurel proc off each other. The power threshold is a problem but if you have a full field and you rest the vanguard booster with X-lead then you only need a trigger to get the extra draw. Just think it could be interesting.

That's fair enough, do you tend to use Daimax as a 41k/3 crit beatstick often? I find that against the Link Joker matchup that's significant pressure without the need for X-tiger. To be honest, I'm in the camp of running 4/4/4 of the D robo G units so I would just run 4 Daiearth instead but I do see the appeal of X-tiger and extra G guardians

GameWarrior im no DFight but from my understanding the 10k vanillas are used to counter rush type decks or grade (aka grade 1 rush) locking decks because it gives good excess attack so it is easier to attack or defend, but hey I might be wrong lol

Someone please answer me. Is laurel even worth. yes he can stand a vanguard but what if they guard a attack u made and u get no triggers... isn't that a whole turn u just wasted all on one card??? isn't someone like dailion better then laurel or at least lowering laurel to 2 cards and having dailion at 2 ?????

Hi there, With several hundred games of playtesting under my belt I can safely say that he is the core source of advantage and the reason why DRobos have a chance at Tier 1.5 rather than being dead at Tier 3. Yes, he has to hit, but by scanning your opponent's resources you can easily manipulate which attack will and won't hit. Keep an eye out for what type of PG they play. If it's G, bully rears. Even with Dizmel it's still viable, since most people only play 1. If it isn't, swing at Van. Always check out how many PGs they've already lost, how many more are to come, how many times they've G Guarded. Laurel awards you TREMENDOUSLY for being able to keep track of that and take advantage of it. It's not as simple as "if I hit I plus", it comes down to how much you've paid attention to your opponent's resources and taking advantage of the situation. Hope this helps! While I know Laurel is still very expensive in English, there's always a chance he'll be reprinted in the future. But for now, he's one of the key cards of the deck.

No worries! I honestly wish myself that DRobos didn't rely that hard on Laurel, so I hope that one day they'll introduce something else like Daimax that works more off field presence.

ItsChibi Also as a suggestion you can get the G Guardian Dark element Dizmel(correct me cause i think i got the name wrong) which will protect your Laurel, since your opponent will go after laurel first. With that said, youll have to fight the temptation of laureling at every stride, learn to laurel and youll pretty much will break guards like i break dreams with Glendios.

When u said "learn to laurel" that helped me so much and I'm "learning" when to use it at the right time. I just never thought that I should use it at a point in the game *as brain dead as that sounds* I was a kagero user but I just switched when the meta didn't go to DP's and I thought the next set would help DP's but it didn't and my kagero deck isn't updated so I already went for my DP's sadly lol.

Honestly idk, I've been playing DRobos for years so I just pick up new cards when they come out LOL I got 8 Laurels back when they were like €5 a piece too, so it really doesn't match up to today's values
