@@4x4AUTOBOT 🤣🤣🤣 Surprise! Seriously: does the filter act 2-way / did you check this - even if its oily? If not it does more harm than protection (from what ever you expect behind the rear lamp e.g. rocks, bugs, birds😊). I´ve never seen any filter at any car connected to a breather...

What's the point of doing this?

This add-on is good when you're crossing a deep creek or river/water crossings. Preventing water from getting in the rear differential that can damage it.
