Being a dog groomer for 16+ years, I have seen a lot of dogs and learned a variety of techniques of how to groom any dog WITHOUT restraints!

This is why desensitizing for grooms is sooo important!! Makes it much easier on pup and groomer. “Practice” grooms few times a week does wonders!! Our puppies always adored being pampered even at their first appointment.

Yes, that is exactly right. I can definitely tell which puppies have some initial grooming sessions before coming to me! 🐾🐶

Yes, for sure! It usually takes about 3 grooms for a puppy to get off the difficult doggie list! Some behaviors take longer than others to unlearn! 🐾🐶

Wow, such a beautiful boy! He looks like a sweet butterscotch/vanilla ice cream sundae! 😋Cuteness at its best! Funny that he was resistant throughout the whole grooming process but then, he didn't even try to run for his life when came time for the monster dryer! He rather seemed to enjoy it! Thank you for explaining the steps you took with him in order to handle him gently and wihouth restraint! It shows how important it is to get a young pup accustomed to being handled and groomed right from the get go! This little guy is gonna have a whole lot of hair as he grows older, so it will be interesting to follow him through his grooming progress! Great work Lisa with this gorgious boy!!!

Hello! Luckily, she was not actually biting down more, putting her mouth on me to test. I have actually only had two dogs in the 17 years I have been grooming, actually break the skin. If they break the skin, I treat it accordingly. Thanks, it takes a lot of patience, but I believe it is worth it not to use any restraints. Thanks for watching, and I appreciate your comment 🐾🐶

You stress the dog by pushing it to stay . Obviously the puppy has a problem with his leg and cry. You don't see it ?? That's why many dogs afraid of other groomers

I agree, plus there are so many other instances in this groom that were difficult for me to watch.😢 I personally would not be return here. Also, the ear plucking thing is not always necessary with these dogs (i had 2 shih tzus and one hated the ear plucking with a passion, so i stopped doing it and he never developed any ear infections in his 14 yr life).
