After the release of three albums, Grave Digger has a desire to change, making the sound softer, more commercial, the group leaves at home that energy and anger that distinguished them from the very beginning, only the less disturbing Digger remains from the previous name, and a certain character appears on the cover of the album. reminiscent of the "metal" Donald Duck, but still in some moments the band's music resembles the former Grave Digger. The new release, "Stronger Than Ever", introduces guitarist Uwe Lulis for the first time, who later became a permanent member of the group for many years. In 2005, a little-known label Retrospect Records released a reissue of the album on CD. This CD was released without the band and is considered a bootleg. To this day, it remains the only album in the Grave Digger catalog not to receive an official CD release, and the only official versions of the album released by the group are vinyl and cassette versions. "Shadows Of The Past" borrows two lyrical lines from "Yesterday," a song released on their 1984 album "Heavy Metal Breakdown".
Having failed to achieve the desired success with the new project, Boltendahl & Co., after a partial lineup change, in a new incarnation under the name Hawaii returned to their original sound and recorded the 1989 demo "Bottles And Four Coconuts", which is a prelude to their return to the track as the good old Grave Digger.
