My dad, uncles, grandpas, might as well say the whole family, made moonshine. When the sheriff would run for office, he would go around and talk to all of the folks in the county and ask for their votes. He say to them, you know I'm running for sheriff again and I need your votes. I would like to know I could count on your votes boys. Never said anything directly about not busting them, they just understood the woods would be safe if they voted for him. Sometimes my dad would get word that the feds would be coming the county. All of them would shut down. I was 10/12 years old. This was in the late 40s, early 50,60.

people assume and have no idea. the studio is a publicly traded company. through an FOIA request it was found that the cops don't press charges and/or follow anyone involved as long as they give details of what they do and how they do it and agree that none of the shine is actually sold. they are allowed to produce for the "docu drama" but cannot sell. they are required to and allowed to investigate any claims of actual selling without warrant. so the show is half truths. the stings are real just without consequences. assumptions kill 👌

Sometimes they do be looking. You’d know if you had a run in. If they bang on the door and you open it without checking they don’t need a warrant if there’s probable cause. They can be sharp as razor blades. And sometimes you just don’t see it coming.

Only thing that ruins this video is every last walnut in the comments section who has to open that gaping chasm they call a mouth and point out that the cop encounter with Mark & Digger was scripted. Guess what? We already know that, but we still like the show, and we watch it. The question here is why are you even bothered to watch it if you know at least half of the stuff shown is fake?

If you have ever been caught by the police for any wrong thing that you have done, the first thing that goes through your mind is, oh kcuf and instantly you want a way out but when you know that you are surrounded and there ain't no way out, well I don't know about you but I tend to clam up some what all the while trying to figure a way out of the situation. I have had a few too many and can't stop sorry but I just found your channel and I'm not on Facebook but I love your show not so much the competition but the ones when you used to run liquor yourself I didn't really know popcorn but we had a couple like him here one old man that told the story about the revinewer not coming out he looked older than the mountains and his ears were the biggest I have ever seen he came around when I was in the beginning of high school and he dug yellow root and ginseng but I think he ce to sit on a big rock on the side of the road and remember and tell us stories I would have listened to every thing he had to say I tried to ask him to stay in a cabin we had but he just shook his head and said his daughter would have the police looking for him if he wasn't on the road at dark he told me his last name but not his first and it slips my mind rite now but I knew a bunch of his kin it might have been Long or maby. @@michaelrhodes4716 when the door is shut it is not. Even with a tip. He can stand outside but unless allowed in we would need a warrant. When the door opens and he sees barrels he no longer needs a warrant but he's met reasonable articulable suspicion and can make an arrest. Get a warrant to go through property from there.

There was no arrest.. They tech had nothing illegal! But if they had? They'd of arrested them.. And the fact no warrant was issued? 99% of the time they'll ignore it.. Even tho that makes it all illegal, and the officers should be black listed in law enforcement.. At least!!! That said, real or fake they were warning them NOT to give em a reason to come back.. There is nothing illegal about distilling spirits, right? The issue is that it is untaxed liquor. Why not just pay the tax on it, and then it wouldn't be illegal? Tim went straight. Trump drastically lowered the taxes on distilleries when he was in office. I'm about as libertarian as they come, but that seems like a super simple solution to me.
