great video and don't worry too much about making them 'more exciting' etc. Remember when you were a kid? You would stand by the construction fence and watch the machines work for hours before remembering that mom was waiting at home with dinner? Well you got us same kids watching still, a few years older now, but we are still looking through that fence and watch every move you make. We don't need much drama or excitement. We are perfectly happy watching a great operator move machines and getting a project done.

This was very nice, as usual! My wife & I have been watching you since we found where you commented on an old Preparator video Andrew Camarata was doing. We have just caught up on your videos and so figured I'd comment and compliment you on your work ethic, can-do attitude and dedicated approach to your job. We're big DigginOK fans, too, and I knew he'd be givin' you a shout out. We like how you vary from some time lapse to actual time. Jumping outside from time to time or putting the camera on the boom is nice when you do that, too. Plus we especially like your commentary, it tells us more about the job you're on. There's nothing boring - it's all very informative. I've heard you say you need a lapel mic - we agree that would help for sure, even though most of the time we can pick out what you're saying. One of your best things is the emoji faces and comment - love 'em. Thank you for all the time you spend to make and edit these videos and sharing your days with us.

As far as everything you own needing maintenance.....Welcome to equipment ownership and being self employed :)) Sometimes it feels like I spend more time fixing than I do working. The nicest thing about a new excavator or skid steer, you get to run it for a few hours before you have to start fixing things. Keep up the good work and some day you could be as good as Diginok.

Well done!!!!!! We never dug footings until we could fill with concrete on same day....kept the bottom of ditch from getting rain and requiring a clean out or redig. Concrete was schedule for 1.30 (this before era of cell phones and laser levels) and last load to be on job site not later than 2.30.....we had to go home at 3.30.....lol. Always a fast 8 hr. day for 3 (2 if house was 1200 sq. ft. or less) people! And btw, concrete trucks could only carry 6 yds. max. legally............ah, the good ole days, glad they're gone....lol. But I did enjoy concrete work....(actually I don't ever remember a bad day at work)!

Just started an excavation / grading company me and my buddy are both fairly new to operating equipment, we picked up a 2021 Deere 331G, and we are shopping for a mini excavator. Your videos are really helpful man, we just built our first pads the other day, now we are out digging a pool for a lady. First week in business and we are looking at around $6-7k gross! We are pretty excited to see where we can take this. Do you think we should get involved in the land clearing side of things? We are in Orlando and it seems like clearing companies charge 5x more than other parts of the country.

You would think after the deadly Joplin tornado that they would want to build houses with basements or at least some type of storm shelter I know if I built a house in Joplin it would definitely have both!!
@mrs.eliteearthworks6 жыл бұрын
Lee Shaver we have a high water table so basements are usually walkouts on hills. You’d THINK a twister safe would be standard, but most developers don’t include them and most homebuyers don’t budget to add them 🤷🏼♀️ We definitely put one in our house when we rebuilt. And all the schools have giant safe rooms now.

Elite Earthworks LLC does code require you to get below a frost line when digging foundations or is Missouri far enough South to not have to worry about that as much? Just curious.
@eliteearthworksllc6 жыл бұрын
Tyler Pittmon they are suppose to have 30” of coverage so what they do is dig an 18-20” footing then stack 2 2x10s for the slab and bring the grade of the yard up. So it saves concrete in the footing but requires more dirt. Little different to me but I guess it works
@tylerpittmon79366 жыл бұрын
Elite Earthworks LLC that’s interesting! In Nebraska the frost line is anything under 32 inches. So basically we have to be 3 ft down lol. Plus whatever the footing has to come up above the ground. The amount of concrete flowing into the ground is insane haha
