So lovely to see you back doing videos and feeling better. I have never used metal raised beds, I prefer wood (although I know they may not last as long(, just my personal preference but those look awesome and a great size. Looking forward to seeing you grow in them this year. Take care.

Tha is so much 😊 I think everyone has their comfort zones when it comes to growing in their gardens. I am looking forward to seeing how these work. If you've ever seen Self Sufficient Me, he grows in these raised metal beds and gets grand results. Having said that - he's in Australia 😂 We shall see!

Glad you are back and feeling better. It will be interesting to see how you fill those deep containers. I have two metal containers that I do some gardening in. Being in Arizona we have easy access to horse troughs. I hope to maybe add two more to my garden this year. They are also good for me because they are self contained. We have a mole problem in my yard and I don’t have to worry about them getting into the containers.

Thanks so much 😊 I'm looking at them as big containers, really. I just can't move these if they're in the wrong place as easily as I can my fabric ones.

Good to see you online again and that you're much better now. I'm guessing you know about our weather here since your family is in the South. Several of our nights were at minus 7 degrees F, so I'm not sure how many of my plants actually survived that. I'll be totally redoing my garden this year and also focusing on a few plants instead of so many different ones. I'll stick with my 18-gallon totes and other containers since they're easier to deal with alone, plus they'll use a lot less soil, etc to fill them. I have a garden stool I sit on so I'm not bending over as much. It'll be interesting to see how those work for you this year. Question - how rust resistant are they? Take care of yourself!

Yes, my two oldest and their families have been affected, school being out, etc. We've not had a great time here, to be honest. Just been through two pretty significant storms (enough they were named). I will still be using my fabric containers for many of my veggies and fruit, as well. Will be interesting to see how they go. I think the fact they're painted inside and out will delay rusting, so it's definitely something to keep an eye on. It's certainly good to be back! I've missed my people 💗

Awww sorry you’ve been poorly hun! Hope you have the energy to fill those beauties! Tho I’d be tempted to spilt them in two so you get 4 beds for your money xx

Thank you so much 😊 I have my sweet hubby to help me and we already have quite a bit of the bigger stuff to start filling them. I will let everyone know how things get on as I'm going 💗

I have 4 Birdies. I got them about 3 years ago. My only complaint is that my soil sank a lot because of the bottom fill that I put in. Not the beds' fault. I do like them and if I had used wood beds it would be about time to replace them but since they are metal, they look as good as the day I put them in.

I have considered wooden raised beds before, especially in that same bed, but I'm looking forward to working on these at this height. I really think it'll make things easier to get to.

Been using Birdie’s raised beds for about 3 years now. Even moved house and took them with me, although I did lose all the soil that was in them. Just grab the ribs and lifted those suckers straight off no problem. But Birdie’s have no cross bracing. Might be a tad harder moving these babies. Had a Quick Look but a bit wary because of shipping from the US and customs duty but I did like the look of the U shaped bed. Just can’t justify that kind of expense, then shipping and customs duty, then the price to fill that enormous bed. Might see a 32” round in my future for use as a squash bed maybe but will hunt around first to see if I can find one in the uk

I think there's a UK warehouse - let me get in touch with them and ask. I'll get back to you! 😊
