DP ran the gamete of emotions and the cast played them all beautifully. I hesitated to watch DP because of my own experience of hazing in US military but -- I never thought DP's depiction of hazing was gratuitous, but a vital part of the story. Bravo . Story was superb, direction effective, cast superb. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this season, it was amazing! The acting, the character development, the cinematography, the OST, everything was stunning. The depiction of ‘the system’ and what it destroys was really important in this season, ep. 4 was one of the best examples (and this unreliable narration was chilling). The whole cast gave their ALL, I could go on and on but it would be endless!! (for example, An Junho’s micro-expressions speak louder than words while Han Hoyeol’s held back emotions slip through his bubbly antics, Kim Ruri, Jang Nina, Lim Jiseop’s confrontation with Shin Ahwi, Seoeun’s meeting with Ruri, …) I was glad I decided to rewatch s1 before beginning s2! As you said, I got to appreciate more details in the character developments and parallels in the story, for example Lim Jiseop’s outstanding character development: (SPOILERS) His last scene with Beomgu is a moving call-back to their arguments, where title nor name didn’t even matter to him then! The first time he gives heartfelt thanks is also the first time he addresses Beomgu by his full name and title in a formal tone. And this time, it's not out of hollow politeness, but out of true respect. Junho’s goodbye to Hoyeol was also a call-back to Hoyeol asking him to call him ‘hyung’ once they were outside, which he never did once in the two seasons. You can also find many interesting similarities between the two pairs (character-wise but also in their relationships), which made the story even more engaging. Beomgu revealing he was also a victim of bullying adds another layer to his lines in s1 (especially when he interviewed Cho Sukbong and his meeting with Kim Ruri). I also loved the parallels between Cho Sukbong and An Junho’s desertion. The ending of this season, from the trial to the post-credit scene, will surely stay in my mind for some time.

So there will be season 3? I'm already excited!! I have already seen it twice. I felt so overwhelmed with each episode that I couldn't help crying. The whole cast was great, every single one of them, but I must highlight Haein's performance, because he was so emotionally immersed, he is so emotionally powerful with his acting that makes you feel what Joon-ho is feeling, every bit of his disappointment and the helplessness and sadness that came with that. Haein immerses you and makes you live his journey with him. I also loved the touches of humour in Joon-ho. I think Haein is also good at it, he made me laugh. If there will be a season 3, please give us a look at Joon-ho's family background, how he became this lonely and taciturn person that he is, and of course, some happiness in his life. I would love to see that he successfully overcame his time in the military, how he projects his future and that he will be well and happy 🥺. Also, will he keep in touch with Ho-yeol, will they build a long-lasting friendship? What will happen to Bom-gu? I truly hope that DP helps improve the treatment of young people who will one day enlist not only in Korea, but all over the world ❤. Congratulations!!!

love this show so much. I want to rewatch but the emotional weight they’ve put into each scene makes it hard for me to see the characters they’re portraying go through hardship. D.P is so good because it’s so real, episode 3 with Nina was handled so well.

I love both Season 1 & 2. The characters are blended. The series have taught viewers of the value of truth, frienship and respect amidst the wrongly use of power and position. I wonder if this really exist. I'm looking forward to Season 3, I enjoyed fully D. P. 1 and 2.
