Great video. That backhoe sure does save on the backache of doing it by hand. Very nice machine.

I got mine a few weeks ago they are amazing machines. And the hidrolic thumb I'd worth it weight in gold. What RPM's are you at when using your bakhoe
@sweatequitylife Жыл бұрын
I typically will run RPMs above 2000 to maximize the speed of the hydraulics. My biggest complaint with the BH77 is the speed. Wish it was a little faster. Thanks for watching!

Wow, you and the BH77 make the digging look smooth. Nice digging not too boney there. I'm curious, your thumb Hydraulic cylinder, what is its overall length an what is the piston travel. I would love to do that mod myself. Thanks, Dan

Thanks Daniel! I will have to get back to you later after I am able to measure the cylinder. I remember measuring the mechanical thumb in the retracted position and trying to get a cylinder to match that so I would have full stroke. The issue that got me was I had to weld a spacer on the top of cylinder because it was too big and would not fit between the upper mounts. That spacer is why the thumb does not fully retract.

@@sweatequitylife Wow, that sounds like an issue. Yes, when you get the time to check it, please let me know. Thanks, Dan

@@danielrapoza8468 Center of eyes are 18.5" - 28.5". I had a 1/2" spacer welded on the top of cylinder because the port was hitting the mounting ears on BH. They also oriented the fixed eyelet so the ports were on the side. I would recommend waiting until you get the BH / thumb and measure for your exact setup.
