I watched many of the geoduck videos and yours is the first one to show me what a geoduck show looks like. Great video. I have saw those tubes with handles on both sides for easy removal, and I see yours had a hole at the top on each side. I would bring along a pipe to stick through the holes and use it as a handle to push it down or pull it out of the hole. It is amazing how much work is in one clam, but what a reward when you finally got one.

That was a crazy dig that evening. The tide and wave wash finally worked in our favor. Limited and off the beach by 8 PM. It was a pleasure meeting you and your lovely daughter. Props to her. Texas to Razor Clamming on the Pacific Ocean, all in one day. Respect! If you ever need a second or third wheel clamming, fishing, hunting, etc. You know where to send the invite. Great to meet you both!

I sure can. I totally endorse Murff's Geoduck Claminator Barrel. Trust me, I've had multiple barrels made and customized for me. Murff's is by far the BEST. Check it here: www.theclaminator.com If you have any questions let me know. #claminator #murffsclaminator #geoduck @GeoduckThe

I hit all locations however I've been working private waterfront. Try Hope Island via boat. If you're unlucky with geoducks, get some steamers and oysters. All good then for dinner.

I've got a super secret spot. Truth be told, most of the "ideal" geoduck locations are either private property or they are being commercially farmed. LOW Tides negate this advantage. If your interested in having a go, it ain't for those with a bad back. Here's what I suggest: 1. Get a barrel + best shovel you can find. The Claminator is my go to barrel now and John Deer shovels (at Ace Hardware) www.theclaminator.com www.acehardware.com/departments/lawn-and-garden/gardening-tools/digging-tools/7005571 I prefer wood vs fiberglass. To each his own. There's some other items I would recommend if your going on a dig. Hit me up. 2. The tides June 23-27 are the best of the summer. Starting with -3.4 tide and three -4.0. If I didn't have access to my spots, I'd be all over these tides. 3. Locations: I don't know where you live however ALL the action for Geoducks is South Puget Sound ie. Shelton, Olympia, Allyn, etc. and Hood Canal. Via a boat: Hope Island, McMicken Island, East+Dabob Spit, Seabold, etc. Via boat=less pressure on geoduck stock. More for you to dig, especially at these low tides. Via Car: Dosewallips/Penrose State Parks, Eagle Creek, and Indian Island. I cannot emphasize, these upcoming LOW tides will make a huge difference in your Geoduck Hunting. Don't let not having access to a private waterfront or boat deter you. You'll find them with patience, the right tools, good eyes+back, and the really LOW tides the week after next. It's good to chat up those digging, with full buckets when out and about. Check here too: wdfw.wa.gov/species-habitats/species/panopea-generosa If I can answer any other questions, let me know. Perhaps, you can join me and be in one of videos! Cheers!

You up for some Razor Clamming? Great tides coming up. As far as the Geoducks, I can make this happen. I am going to organize a trip with subscribers next Summer. I am thinking about doing a geoduck dig next week. There are some -3.0+ tides but they are at 2 AM. I've dug geoducks at night in the winter before, it's an experience. Disorienting, COLD, and mostly Miserable yet I love it the same!
