Very cool picture frame. I started digging bottles when I was about 7 years old and an old dump from the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. I've been doing it ever since. Love the history. Great video. Stay safe. Again beautiful frame.

Great project! Very creative use of the decoupage to set off your bottle stopper collection. The clay pipe was a neat find: amazing the minute detail the maker was able to achieve on the busts of Edward and Alexandra.

When I get a cod, I take it home and fry in butter and lemon. 🍋Hehehe I showed mom the Harlene bottle cause her name is Harlene. She has always had beautiful curly hair even now in her early '80s. What a fantastic way to display bottle stoppers. Blessings Si

You don't know how happy I was to see someone finally take broken bottles and find a use for them. I play with bottle cutting and whenever I watch these old privy or landfill digs and see people chucking old bottles because the neck is broken it destroys me... Throwing away history because it is flawed is a crime! Then there are the people who take broken pottery and use it to make murals which is also amazing.

That perfume bottle is indeed sweet, it has a nice shape to it. Dollhead is creepy but your idea to hang it on a tree with a candle behind it is wicked, lol. I liked the St Jacob’s Oil story, that was interesting. I thought it wonderful that it would be made here in New York. Never heard of it and I’m in my late 60’s. The little cream pot, and small perfume bottle are lovely too. The frame with the stoppers is beautiful. I really enjoyed this hunt and roundup. Thank you.

That was a wonderful bit of decoupage with the old newspapers! The Bulmers Cider bottle stopper brought back a memory :). Over 40 years ago I sat in a pub in Ireland with an Irish friend and asked him what Bulmers Cider was because I never heard of it. He answered: 'Bulmers Cider Is The Madman's Drink'! Apparently because 9 out of 10 men drinking cider all evening eventualy ended up in a pub fight :-)

Wow! Really enjoyed this video! It was a treasure trove of bottles! I loved the tiny doll heads! The one with the broken face reminds me of the Phantom of the Opera mask. Nicola must of envied the pipe with King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra on it! I recognized Queen Alexandra but couldn't remember who she was consort of...I always get the Edward's and George's mixed up! It was a perfect resemblance of Queen Alexandra. The frame with the bottle stoppers was brilliant! The newspaper back drop was so fascinating to look at and read! The Bulls Distillery bottle...was that a wee bit of a haunting there when you set the bottle on the table??? Lol! Can hardly wait for part 2 next week on more bottle finds!

Hj Simon,i got into bottle digging in the 1970s when i was at school.It was just starting over here back then.There were loads of dumps here in Derbyshire and we made good finds.Our Bible was your mate John Webbs Bottle collecting by Blandford press.I still have it today along with some of his other books.
