So.. My tullips dont bloom 😢.. I planted some in the yard kind of scattered out around 2 falls ago. The foilage will come up but no blooms. They are not all in the same place so it cant be planting location. Now i did have one bulb in a pot that bloomed (but not going to count that one). Have you had these issues with tullips? Any suggestions. I've just discovered you.😊

Oh no… I’ve had the opposite experience with tulips! I read somewhere that the tulip bulbs are usually single season plants, as in they often do poorly in the second year if you don’t dig up the bulbs and store them properly. I decided to test this theory. I left my bulbs in the ground and lo and behold they came back bigger and bolder the second time round! It was such a surprise to me. I’m so sorry you haven’t had very good luck with tulips. I have no idea what could be the cause of that but you are for sure not the first or the only one. I had to move out of that house in December 2023 and now living in VA so I wasn’t there this spring to see how my tulips came up this year 🥲 I’m so curious if they had already started to recoil. I don’t expect them to keep blooming year after year but the fact that they all came up bigger and brighter the second year was such a pleasant surprise. I hope you get better luck with yours. They’re such cheerful spring bloom 🌷🌿💐

@@Linasgardens thanks for the reply.. Your suggestion made me read up and that's something I should have done in the first place.. I'm in the southeast in zone 8 so that totally explains my issue. And I first Googled best place to grow tullips and Washington State came up. I just assumed it would be the other way around. My winters are not cold enough... Thanks again.. And I bet you will be able to grow a better variety of plants in VA..
