Beautiful build! I'd guess this issue is from late '70s/early '80s while the Dukes of Hazzard was current, and "Boss Man" was as close as they could get to "Boss Hogg" without infringing trademarks. MPC had the official Dukes license, and put out just about every main car from the show except the Caddy. This is why we have the '78 Dodge Monaco as a 4-door sedan when the promo was a coupe. It's surprising MPC didn't approach Johan to do a deal for the official one, since it was well known Johan had done Cadillac promos for 20 years at that point. Or maybe they did and the deal fell through.

There you go again. Making it all look so easy and inspiring me to make more progress on my own project! Love your styrene supports on the front A pillars. I’m struggling with a 1:48 Gee Bee cockpit that is requiring some fab and you’ve inspired a solution I didn’t think of until watching your vid. Keep it up Louie and let me know the next time you are in LA so I can introduce you to our local model building club.

Thank you for the invite. Might be going to a show this coming year in LA, not too far out from Phoenix. I’ll let you know. Happy Modeling

Newly introduced in 1968 was the 472 cubic inch V8 engine by Cadillac. This may be what engine you have in the kit. Great vids sir!

Another great build. Can’t go wrong with a black Cadillac. Red interior is a great choice for contrast.
