I think it's important for me to make this clear. I've never been exposed to any sort of toxicity in the OMSI 2 community - I've only ever really been on Fellowsfilm where people are generally mild-mannered, especially when compared with those on other forums such as BeamNG's. For a long time, I never knew the true scale what OMSI 2 modders and creators have to put up with. The Mirage's release, unfortunately, completely shattered this illusion for me. It's perfectly fine to dislike a mod or a DLC, or feel disappointment when it doesn't meet your expectations. In fact I myself have several reservations about this pack. However, it's one thing to offer criticism and feedback where it's due - but quite another to personally attack the creator AND the people supporting them. Following the events of the past week, I cannot in good faith remain silent about this. I'm sure the vast majority of us OMSI 2 players are better than this, and would agree. So, when I say "thank you V3D" in the video - I meant it, from the bottom of my heart. Opening a single .bus file should put into perspective the immense amount of work that goes into an OMSI 2 bus, and it's something we should all be grateful for. OMSI 2's community can be a far nicer and friendlier place to be - and we can make it happen together.

I completely agree with you. The toxicity of the OMSI community is immense and I hate being exposed to it. It does however truly disappoint me to have just witnessed V3D ban a member of the discord offering criticism (not the first, probably not the last). V3D and Technosam fail to at least take any criticism to consideration, and while I have the fullest respect to V3D for putting his best effort to get a bus done, especially after months of ups and lows (from lack of motivation, etc) I don't agree with the idea of refusing to accept any negative comments on regards to a product.

@@iiBus That sounds equally concerning as well... I wouldn't say V3D completely shuts out valid and constructive input at the moment, seeing as he acknowledges many of the problems with the Mirage and has put in effort to rectify them, and is currently taking suggestions for the bus. I could be wrong though! Though I should say that as much as I sympathise with V3D, I certainly hope it doesn't come to this. Either simply out of pique at the community, or whatever other reason.

I've made my fair share of mods, and yes, only one of them actually got to release but its a lot of effort. People were telling i was terrible because i forgot to change the engine sounds in the first release of the mod, and i did fix it but still. They could've just kindly asked me to change them rather than telling me weeks of my work was shit.

I should probably try that map out sometime soon! I’ve heard it’s a bit broken though.

V3D has acknowledged the interior sounds are somewhat lacking and has been trying to fix them, though without much success so far (from what I gathered from TecnoSam’s Discord server). But even if he doesn’t, I’m sure the community will go ahead and mod the sounds themselves anyway.
