While Bancho might work for Stingmon, I think I'd prefer ExVeemon get its own Ultimate and Mega form. I mean it's right there in the name, but Ulforce is VeeDramon's Mega form. Give the anime line its own thing. Also give Hawkmon and Armadillomon their own Ultimate & Mega levels. They're actually probably a higher priority since Patamon & Gatomon already have their own full lines; complete with 2 Megas each. And meanwhile Hawkmon & Armadillomon don't even have Jogress Megas to share.

@@LadyLeomon Rika asks Renamon in episode 39 if they can change Leomon's destiny, and Renamon says no. There is no mechanic in the Tamers universe by which a deleted Digimon is reconfigured. Their data is either absorbed, becoming integrated into that Digimon, or dispersed, and used to create new Digimon, such as how Zhuqiaomon created the devas. Either way, there's nothing to suggest that a Digimon, especially one that's absorbed, can be reborn

I think it’s very interesting when the egg appeared it made every screen (from what I can tell I can’t read kanji) read “may everyone in the world have friends. May they each have a Digimon” (according to the English text in the Times Square scene). I hope this is what let’s us reconnect Kizuna to the 02 epilogue. Also this is probably more of a long shot but I do hope to hear “Run Around” again in the movie I know it’s a dub specific song but it would be cool

What I think could probably push things forward for quite a few fans is seeing official independent Ultimate/Perfect levels for each of Digimon 02 kids, not just what TK and Kari had with their Digimon as an option because of things with the original Digimon Adventure's end, and maybe official independent Mega/Ultimate level forms for Veemon and Wommon and the rest of the 02 gang as well. I think doing that in the coming film would go a long way toward showing that the Adventure 02 gang has the ability to stand on their own and go the distance just as good as the original Adventure cast, if not better; while seeing a return the DNA Digivolutions (and possibly cannon Mega evolutions for all of them, not just Imperialdramon) would be fun and nostalgic for a lot of the older fans, giving the 02 gang those full digivolution lines to progress through would also go a long way to helping to settle some of the debates among the community. Also, seeing official alternate DNA Digivolution states and forms. Dinobeemon is the official alternate DNA Digivoution of Ex-Veemon and Stingmon, where Stingmon's insectoid traits are more dominant in the dominant part of the merger instead of Paildramon, where Ex-Veemon's dragon traits are more dominant. But Dinobeemon didn't officially exist until after Adventure 02 finished its run, but if it did exist prior, we could have gotten a storyline around its aggressive personality where Davis and Ken had to find a way to calm this fusion down and redirect it towards the problem Digimon threatening their friends, which would have probably made it one of the darker episodes of the series's run. But seeing alternate DNA Digivolutions for each of the pairings could be fun to see. The Digivice seems to have some sort of function where it stabilizes the evolution of partner Digimon, but it also seems to have a function that allows it to assess what is needed to deal with the crisis at hand within the limits and pressures being placed on the partner Digimon by the surrounding environment; so having these alternate DNA Digivoutions would allow them to express this secondary function of threat assessment that the Digivice seems to have but not always showcased. Also, giving the 02 gang access to their own individual full Digivolution lines would be just fun to see.

The official Ultimate/Perfect levels of Aquilamon, ExVeemon, and Ankylomon are, and brace yourself for this... Silphymon, Paildramon, and Ankylomon. The 02 Cast had no way to reach the Ultimate/Perfect level on their own, so they utilized their allies as fuel, and cut their numbers in half for more power. It's a natural digivolving process though, and the primary of the two digimon, the one used a base, is the one that digivolves, while the other one is turned into fuel to, well, fuel that digivolution. The process could just easily use Gatomon, Stingmon, and Angemon as the base and the results would be Angewomon, DinoBeemon, and MagnaAngemon.

I watched the first clip they day when it released, love the nostalgia and familiar faces, happy to see Taichi and Koshiro's cameo, Its made from Kizuna's director and writer after all. But many questions surrounding this new character Rui Owada, like where did he came from, is he a time traveler? etc. My (wild) theory is that he was a human, "world's first digidestined" as they said, but something happened turn him into a digital humanoid being like Gennai for many years, then again something happened and transform him back to a human with memory loss. I don't know...too wild? And his partner Ukkomon, no details or appearances yet, its form reminds me of Baltoy in Pokemon. Can't wait for its release, and they picked great VAs for Rui and Ukkomon as well. Rui is voicing by Megumi Ogata sensei, who was VA for various famous anime charaters (My favs!) like EVA's Shinji Ikari, and Yu-Gi-Oh's Yugi Mutou. And Ukkomon by Rie Kugimiya sensei, who just voiced Digitamamon in Ghost Game not long ago.

I'm happy the 02 cast get attention with this project, but still I can't image how they will connect the story, either it will be another mess or a new story that never have connection with the prequel. First of: YESSS! This Digimon 02 being announced is the best thing I've seen all day! Second: I'm gonna mention my personal hopes for this movie! 1: While I *love* DnA Digivolving I also think it's about time that they all got proper non-jogress digivolutions. I don't mind if they fit much or if they make new Digimon for them, I just want a nice continuation of the lines. If this happens I have a feeling Wormmon's ultimate would probably be BanchoStingmon or something similar, and Veemon's line would most likely include an UlforceVeemon, but what about Hawkmon? Or Armadillomon? What would they become? 2: *If* the digi-armors are included, it would be interesting to see all the other possible digi-armor combinations, I'd love to see Hawkmon turn into Allomon, or Armadillomon into Pteramon, for example. I do think it's a long shot though, since the whole reason why the armors were needed was because the dark spires prevented digivolution by normal means. 3: Probably the most likely, I want to see this get a little bit dark! Ghost Game and Survive didn't shy away from darker tones and themes, and even as a little kid the dark ocean plot always interested me, I remember combing through all the dvds and episodes to see if there was ever anything else on the dark ocean, sadly, there wasn't, and I had always wondered if there was something wrong with my discs, like if I had scratched it and it had skipped an entire episode. So yeah, resolving the dark ocean, Dragomon, and everything else would be absolutely amazing for me, and many others. I'm sure that I'll have nothing to worry about, since the movie seems to be in capable hands, and I know that these ideas are a bit far fetched, and I won't be mad if they don't include them. The only reason armor evolutions were a thing was because traditional evolution was blocked by the dark towers so I am on the same boat of WANTING them especially Magnamon and possibly Golden Rapidmon but I wouldn’t get my hopes up…

It would be weird if Joes Zudomon and Cody's Shakkoumon were fighting another Digimon and they both digivolved into Vikemon. We don't even know if we'll see Silphymon and Shakkoumon in the new movie and even if we did see them they probably won't reach mega. If they do reach mega we do know we'll see Valkyriemon but we won't know if they'll use Vikemon as Shakkoumons mega. The only way to know for sure is to watch the new Digimon Adventure 02 movie when it comes out.

Yea kizuna and the tri flims were mostly fan service resulting in alot of bad writing like having new superpowered forms like kizuna agumon or merciful mode omegamon like they just get a-s pulled out of nowhere after losing to the big bad of the flim There's also the problem of the characters just playing will they wont they with the deaths of the partner digimon like it's teased in digimon tri with the world getting reset and once again in kizuna where they vanish cause adults cant have digimon despite owikawa was it having a small green skinned, in training digimon but we can just pretend that never happened ig

@@bob74h67 EXACTLY. And you know there were actually people saying it makes sense adults don't have digimon since Japanese people get rid of childish things when they are older. Ignoring that most of digimon's fanbase are adults, that adult characters in the 01 and 02 groups have had digimon, that it begs the question do Japanese people regularly have their childhood friends die cause that's the equivalent here, and also that it just isn't an excuse since it was confirmed the ending of 02 is canon so why are they faking deaths. Tri was okay at best but Kizuna was atrocious to not only the continuity of itself but also the world it inhabits and the Canon set in place. Why on earth were Gabumon and Agumon, and off screen Biyomon which I don't think I'll get over, the ONLY ONES to "die". If having the mindset of an adult means your friend dies then why was Gomamon or even Tentomon, but DEFINITELY Gomamon, in Tri or Kizuna? Joe's whole thing for a while was focusing on his future and adult life so why wasn't Gomamon the 1st to go long before Tri. Even in the 02 anime even. Kizuna is a disgrace on multiple levels, and it makes me sad to be this infuriated at a franchise I hold dear but this is disgusting levels of bad when it comes to this movie and it's message that was just nostalgia and emotional baiting for a nothing story

I don’t understand why they had to completely exclude them from the narrative and then take Biyomon away from Sora anyway. Wasn’t it explained that the Digivices crack faster if they are actually used? So how come Biyomon had to go first, even though she didn’t even fight once in Kizuna? :/ Gomamon would’ve been the most logical choice to leave - I agree with you there. It probably won't be the the reason they use in the film, but don't forget there was a time displacement in the digital world where time was faster than the real world until after the myotismon arc. After that time between both worlds synced. It could make sense that there could have been many other teams that had adventures in The digital world around the same earth time as Tai and team. Just days, weeks or months apart in earth time but years in the digital world.

I've always wondered what would happen if they merged the digiarmor eggs. At the same time, I can't see them using the armor digivolve because they were specifically designed because of the black towers preventing normal digievolution. Only way for the armor versions to show back up is someone is able to duplicate the black towers or at least the effects of them. I also don't want Imperialdamon to be the only mega the 02 group has so let the other two DNA merged digimon have some sort of mega forms.

Technically Omegamon is not Jogress is Gattai... Its super complicated... For some reason some Digimon are considered to Combine, while others fuse. The difference is that Combining maintains the 2 cores separate, while Jogress Fuses 2 different cores to create a new one.

While the 02 cast isn't my favorite, I'm happy they are getting a movie and giving them some time to shine. Not sure what I would like to see, as the story seems different from past Digimon seasons, as we've never dived too deep into the first kids coming to the digital world. I wouldn't mind seeing the world kids and Willis and Terriermon return. It wouldn't be a big deal if we didn't see them but it would be cool to see what they're all up to. Overall, looks like it could be a good movie, and I can't wait to see it.

I'm hoping to see complete lines for the partners (at least for Veemon & Wormon if not enough time. Be it completely new Digimon, UlforceVeedramon/BanchoStingmon or even Imperialdramon FM/GrandisKuwagamon, there's stuff to do there). And perhaps (or either) something that involves both jogress & armor evolution. Like maybe Imperialdramon digivolving further by using the Digi Egg of Miracles or something I'm so excited for this

I would like a 02 reboot as well. Maybe a completely new storyline would make me like 02 more than the original. As long as they don't mess it up halfway through like the 01 reboot. Can't wait to see this one unfold though.

I believe 02 featured the most types of evolution in one series (regular evo, armored evo, dna evo) so if this movie emphasizes that... itd be great. They can explore each others' variant evos where theyd borrow each others digieggs or something. I hope they dont just come up with an entirely new digimon evo-form again and just feature those cool digimon forms that already exist

Magnamon, the gold digimetal evolution for Veemon, is my favorite Digimon period. He was only in Touchdown Hurrican and that one episode of 02, I would kill to see him come back in this movie. Do you think they will continue on the story of the '99 continuity in conjunction with the 2020 continuity?

This is why Digimon Beats Pokemon for me, not that it needs to be compared, you get to see the characters grow and its relatable to real life. The best Slice of life/Isekai mix. I can't wait.

If the Dark Ocean is brought back, ANUBISMON MUST BE INCLUDED. His lore is entirely related to choosing which digimon reincarnates, and which ones remain trapped there.

Here's some advice. Take all your expectations, hopes, and dreams for this movie, and throw them out the window. It'll be 90 minutes at best, and 85% of it will focus on explaining Rui. Return of armors? Not happening. Non DNA lines? Nope Megas for Cody and Yolei? Maybe, if we're lucky, but probably not. New Imperialdramon form? Almost definitely. Or they'll have the Adventure cast get their partners back in the last 20 minutes just so Omnimon can get the win. Again.

I, personally thinks he doesn’t know what that new kid is talking about. Remember those two agents in tri, well when they were really young they met their partners. Also in the last evolution, the lady, had her Digimon at a young age, therefore he wasn’t probably even born yet. Also going to add, in the first Digimon, Jeti mentions that there were digi-destines before them. So no, he was not the first one. Unless he just looks young

I think that this digidestined man who looking like sasuke uchiha is somehow linked to daigo's group but surely his digimon partner is not one of the 4 sovereigns and of course I hope movies after this one and this time taichi and yamato regain their major role but with daisuke and ken coz their last adventure was not fair at all and without forgetting the rest of daigo and maki group

Cant wait for the new movie Dont expext the highest quality from the flim given the prior digimon adventure new content but fans of the series are here for nostalgia purposes so not that shocked Dont really like the flim new characters not because their bad but because their always so one note like mei from tri and girl who had eosmon in kizuna. Hopefully they give this character some long standing role in the narrative but not expecting that much
