There’s actually another movie where Oggy and his friends and cockroaches go to India. This episode was done because the show became very popular in India. They even acknowledged it by showing Indian kids watching it in TV and asking Oggy for an autograph. I don’t remember clearly if it was a movie or a normal episode but I remember that scene specifically, it feels like a fever dream.

I should mention that there's one episode where Oggy adopt a snail and after noticing his snail was lonely, he got a female one and they reproduce so much that the house was filled with snails. Oggy loved all of them but the cockroaches got so annoyed by it that to get them rid of them, they convinced Jack to cook them and feed them to Oggy.

This show was a big hit in India. Even in India many people don't know that there were 2 versions the pilot program which had dubbing done by a company Guamount it had all S1 episodes later they moved to Xlim which redone the entire dubbing from S1 to end. Surprisingly the older pilot version is extremely hard to find in the Internet. And NGL the dubbing gave the show wayyy more personality. I still remember most of the episodes and how it went just like many other shows at that time. It was good times isn't it.

The thing is, the Cockroaches are genuine bastards. Meanwhile, Oggy is just a guy who wants to live a peaceful life. He's not a fighter, but every day the cockroaches come around to screw him over. They each have believable motivations too: the Cockroaches want to annoy Oggy for fun and profit off of his stuff, while Oggy just doesn't want parasites in his house. It's also interesting how each of them react to the other "walks away" from conflict: Oggy feels guilty when the cockroaches leave for good or die, despite them being a thorn on his side he still has a moral compass; meanwhile, like you pointed out, the cockroaches go as far as building a fake Oggy to pester for fun. Also of note is that Oggy and the Cockroaches, just like Zig and Sharko, acts like everyone's body parts, fur, antennas, etc. are detachable (especially the noses) or clothes, that can be removed for comedic effect.

I do like how in later seasons (around 3 to 4) the writers changed the story slightly from Oggy getting bullied 24/7 by roaches to both Oggy and the roaches bullying eachother equally. Or they even form a truce to get back at Bob who was being an even bigger nuisance to the 4 of them.

I know not many Americans know this show but this show is a freaking cult in India. It is dubbed but is somehow not bad as a dub, 99% of the dub is done by a single man, who does Bollywood actor impressions but still somehow makes them original. This series means a lot to me. I find heartwarming how this series is getting more and more praise as time goes on, especially the first three seasons, where its strong elements like the slapstick and surreal humor truly shine. It used to be a pretty hated cartoon with a lot of detractors back in the day and one of my personal guilty pleasures as well. Fortunately my interest for this franchise didn't die out and I still consider it one of the peaks of French animation. By the way, both Dee Dee and Marky are my favorite characters, and I think they're almost as fleshed out as Oggy, Jack and Joey!

The show creators knew how strong it's Indian audience was, that's why they sometimes placed Indian refrences here and there, i honestly loved the reference like Oggy's trip to Mumbai for cricket, but it's season 6 is overdone, not much enjoyable, they added Piya and all, but jhaplu paplu taplu are not annoying in this season and Piya neutralizes peak moments, fauji is non existent, the animation style unnecessarily makes it an elementary kids cartoon, dubbing is also not nice as it used to be.

Also, they made a third show where it's about prisoners trying to get out of a prison, but it utterly fails. And that one too, is connected, I believe so, in conclusion, those shows are connected

I loved this show growing up. I remembered ALOT of episodes, such as A Night in the Opera (my first introduction to the Toreador March long before a certain horror game), the one where Oggy gets facial reconstruction surgery (the magazine cutout gag still floors me to this day), and the one where Dee Dee and Jack eat a biscuit/cracker that gives them hilariously obnoxious dialogue (perhaps intentional on part with the writers).

1 One episode i remember very vividly which made me sad is the one in which oggy seals cocroaches in can and that can gets mixed up with alot of cans and Oggy is desperatly opening every can to find them . 2 One other I remember is the one in which cocroaches hijack Jack's mind and make him look crazy to Oggy and Jack ends up being crazy by the end of episode 3 There was one episode in which joey and Oggy ends up being friends, rather i should say parent and child i think this happens because Joey loses his memories and gets them back by the end of episode .

Many people think Jack and Monica are cousins since she is Oggy's brother, though I think their are some misinterpretations. Jack and Oggy are cousins but they're not really cousins in a sense that their parents are related. For those of you who don't know, the show regard Jack as a lion. Meanwhile Oggy is a cat. Most of the time people regard cats and lions as "relatives" or "cousins" of each other since they are related in terms of evolution. So when the writers said they are "cousins" I think that's what they mean by that. and when Monica was introduced they may have not thought about it and made Monica Jack's love interest.
