@Kades Laus The Digimon Lore and Digimon Refference Book didn't even exist at this time. Just like how Omegamon lacked the Brave Shield Ω,the missiles from his left hand hatch and MG head against Armagemon,Imperialdramon's lore wasn't yet set in stone so the "It is said that the power to destroy a planet dwells in its attacks" stuff is something he didn't even have at the time. Mega Death and Positron Laser were a no go as they would obliterate anything in range. They were fighting in a city most of the time meaning they had to hold back. You can attribute it to Imperialdramon being cocky as in "I'm at the Ultimate level this guy is just a Perfect i win" just to then get zapped in the face and get his data destroyed. DM is not that mobile either with all that size and bulk.

In the dragon form, powerwise, it was pretty busted for an Ultimate level. The reason why Fighter mode was even a thing was that while it was a really powerful digimon, it was a battlecruiser so it had no precision attacks. Lumbering digimon like Triceramon were easy picking, but the flighty ones could easily outpace it in confined or crowded spaces.

Couldn't agree more. It looks absolutely beastly .. but here comes the downside: it's a bit useless, stiff and slow in that form. The fighter form and paladin mode are quicker and more agile. Correct me if i'm wrong.

I love this series so much. Especially season 2 because of ken and davis. Ken never had a friend, then came the darkness and then came davis i'm not a big fan of Matt and Tai i like both but the friendship is weird sometimes the whole ken thing is so beautiful. He was a dangerous enemy then a victim and someday a friend davis put in the first place just heartwarming. I miss series like this who shows what a friendship truly is

I just realize the difference of the sub and dub is so big. In the Japanese english sub, Imperialdramon ask their partner is both of them is all right after almost got hurt but in the dub, Imperialdramon just ask their partner if he look cool or not. Not considering their partner almost dies 1 minute ago. Dub truly messed up, huh.

Ultimate in JP=Mega in ENG. 02 Era Imperialdramon Dragon Mode is on par with Wargreymon. When FM was released he was stated to be a Digimon that transcends the strongest surpassing even Omegamon with attack power the same as a very god of destruction but at the same time saying that Omegamon and FM are on par. Later around Diablomon's Revenge they made Omegamon stronger than FM but not by much.
